This place is tiny but it is always packed and the food is delicious. If you are craving ramen noodles, look no further and head straight to Ramen Underground. We went there yesterday around 1.20 PM and after waiting for 10 minutes we got the table. Not bad for a Saturday afternoon. The give you a menu where you can mark on it what you want. I got the vegetarian ramen with extra tofu and it was awesome. It comes with spinach, mushrooms and green onions so this is like a wholesome meal. Pricing is around $9 per person plus a dollar for any extras you want to add. Choice of drinks is very limited and they do NOT server beer. You can make the soup as spicy as you want but for me, it was already spicy what came from the kitchen so didnt need to add anything more. Tip: This is a cash only please!

This is amazingly good ramen, hands down... and the options they have are superb, especially when pork is involved. You can literally and immediately taste the massive amount of time and complexity that goes in to the stock, and I'll keep coming back even if I needlessly have to wait to even place a to-go order at times. Their ordering process also leaves a lot to be desired for a place that has so few seats... and they still haven't either addressed the demand for certain components or can't meet it in quantity.

Ordered delivery today with some coworkers, very delicious but they forgot the pork in mine! All options automatically came with pork... so not sure how it was not in my order. Sad day.

A nice little place serving some authentic ramen dishes. Tip: Parking might be a challenge on kearny street so try some side alleys. There is a board on which you write your name (waitlist) and usually the wait time is long especially over the weekends. The place itself is the size of about one tenth of a cafe and I think I can safely say that only about 10 - 15 people can dine at a time. For all veggies lovers, they have a veggie ramen too. Bottom line: Limited choice, excellent taste, even better prices and in SF -- what more could you expect!

Yummy in my tummy. Perfect for a cold night. FYI You don't seem to get much meat unless you ask for extra as a topping. Very tiny place but only waited a few minutes to sit, but we were on the later end of dinner time. As everyone else is saying, the pork belly was delicious and the tonkatsu broth as well. However a few people said the spicy miso broth wasn't spicy at all and I found it to be quite hot, so maybe it varies because I'm not usually a heat wimp. And sadly my egg was slightly overcooked but still a good addition.
