Lincoln-based brewery Blue Bloods Brewery is releasing a new series called "10-series" and we had the pleasure and honor of creating the can designs. In keeping with the police theme from which the brewery gets its namesake from, the new beers are an IPA labeled Pernicious, a Imperial Amber Ale labeled Last Call,  and an Amber Ale labeled Brewhood. Along with the cans we created a series of posters to promote the new "10-series."

Here is a campaign for the new 40V Max Cordless Tool System by OREGON®. These cordless products are powered by a high-capacity 40V MAX Lithium Ion battery which is one of the highest in the cordless power tool category. The campaign to introduce these products is dubbed "America's Newest Power Family" and it includes TV, print ads and digital ads.

People went crazy over Angry Birds, then they went crazy over Words with Friends. So much so that Alec Baldwin made the news when he got kicked off a plane because he didn't turn off his smart phone before taxing back because he was play Words. Now it seems we have a new mobile app game that have people tweeting and facebooking about. It is called Draw Something. Draw Something is a social drawing and guessing game. Since launch five weeks ago the game has been downloaded 20 million times.

Last week, the creative department at the Lincoln office took the afternoon off for a Creative Retreat. The first stop was Screen Ink where they screen pressed t-shirts followed up with a tour and some samples at Blue Blood Brewing Company.

Here is a great example of health care branding we did for Jefferson City, MO hospital Capital Region Medical Center. The prior logo and identity was not very legible because it did not look good reversed and the serif font was hard to read at a distance or at a decreased size. Additional the current system was not flexible having a single execution of the logo and the inability for the brandmark to be separate from the wordmark.

The new identity made sure to still incorporate the dome of the Missouri State Capital with the addition of the sun rising over the Capital as a visual reminder of CRMC's commitment to continuous improvement. Light is also a symbol of healing, representing the hope CRMC brings to patients. The color of Gold was added to demonstrate the partnership with the University of Missouri. The six pillars in the brandmark represents CRMC's 6 Pillars of Excellence. A new logo system was then built off of the new logo for family and specialty clinics as well as CRMC owned locations. Additionally created were alternative versions of the logo including stacked and horizontal.

Check out this fun design blog called Hipster Branding, that shows big named brand logos in the style of hipster design. Hipster design is a combination of retro design style and layout with more modern fonts. The blog is a joke by a young German designer but the concept seeing a brand like Adobe (pictured) in a the hipster design style is still fun.

Swanson Russell recently finished up production on TV spots for Hummninbird and Minn Kota. Both spots launched during the Bassmaster Classic and were also shown at the arena during the weigh-in, where 13,000 bass fishing crazies take in the super bowl of fishing. Both spots are part of large integrated campaigns that include everything from digital, PR, collateral and traditional media.
