My Experience with Acupressure
I recently attended an educational, hands-on, three-day seminar on acupressure practices, including how acupressure can help with sleep. And, because acupressure had an extraordinary effect on my sleep, I wanted to share my experience with you here:

The night before the multi-day acupressure seminar started, I stayed in a hotel a half-block away from where the class was going to be held. I was exhausted from the long drive (and from the busy week I’d had), but when I checked into the hotel I was concerned about the noise from the trains that blew by the property. Sure enough, the first night trains kept screaming by every ½ hour, blowing their whistles; I slept maybe 4 hours.

The next day class began and we treated each other with acupressure. We shared about our experiences and we all found that we felt different and much better after the the session. That night, believe it or not, I slept a straight 7 ½ hours; I didn’t hear the trains at all. Indeed, I slept much better than I had in a long time (and it was a much deeper sleep). You could argue the quality of sleep might have been the result of not having slept much the night before, but those 4-hour sleep nights happen to me sometimes at home and the following night is usually a little better, but never as good as this. As the class continued I had that same wonderful quality of sleep each of the following nights. Plus, most of the others in the class felt some incredible differences that lasted well beyond the days of class. Now, it’s my hope that I’ll be able to assist my clients with healthier sleep, as acupressure is one of the modalities I am currently studying and using more and more.

San Soma is proud to offer acupressure in Incline Village, NV. Call today to set up an appointment. Here’s to a good night sleep.

San Soma's Valentine's Special
Valentines Day is about showing your love, support and affection for the person you love. The deeper meaning of what some have come to call “a holiday invented by Hallmark to sell more greeting cards,” is special and genuine.

This year, San Soma is offering a special package for couples massage in Incline Village. Partnering with Carolyn from Lotus of the Lake, San Soma will be offering a specially-priced package for all couples massage treatments purchased in February. At a discounted rate of $150, you and someone special to you can experience the benefits of massage therapy together, side-by-side. We’ll make this occasion special for couples to ensure a truly relaxing, rejuvenating and reconnecting experience for you both.

This is a loving time of year. The beautiful setting of Lake Tahoe makes for the ideal context for the loving gesture of giving your Valentine the gift of a couples massage in Incline Village, NV. You know your loved one better than anyone, and he/she may still melt over flowers, chocolates and more … so there’s no reason the gift of a couples massage can’t compliment any gestures you already have planned.

Whether you live in Incline Village, are planning a special Valentine’s Day vacation weekend in Lake Tahoe or simply coming up for the day, San Soma will help you make a memorable Valentine’s gift this year. Remember, to get the specially-priced package, you only need to purchase your couples massage in February; you can then book your couples massage any time afterward (at least before 2015 comes to an end, please).

Love is in the air; show your loved one how special they are to you by giving them a couples massage.

Couples massage can increase feelings of affection and encourages bonding. Valentine's Massage Special for yourself, a friend or you and your partner runs for the month of February. I've been thinking about the importance of rest, exercise and diet in creating San Soma (a healthy body).  So how does massage fit in here?  It helps relieve the muscle fatigue of exercise and can provide an hour or more of DEEP rest during the massage.  More on all of this soon.
