It's a good, old-school neighborhood gym. You're not gonna get the glitter and glamour of a big chain gym but if you want a good workout, be it cardio or weights, it's a good basic gym. I go there every weekend for weight training because it is close to where I live. I have never felt that it was lacking for my purposes. Pretty friendly staff, decent locker facilities, updated equipment. It ain't a mega-gym, but it's a good gym.

Describe my experience... where do I start. After reading all of the reviews, mine will sound like a broken record for this so called "workout club". This is the poorest excuse of a fitness club that I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The equipment is rusted, old, and usually non-working. The "newly renovated" sign out front has been up for more than a year and is referring to the new paint! Not a single piece of new equipment was added. I had to drive to a second gym each week just to work legs, as their leg equipment never worked! I saw more "out of order" signs posted than working machines. Not to mention the service of the staff there is a 1 out of 10. They are rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Last, like so many others have complained about... St. Louis workout must be desperate for cash, as it takes 5 notices and an act of God to get it cancelled. They squeezed 3 extra months and late fees out of me before they even accepted my cancellation notice. My best advice... Stay Away from St. Louis Workout.

Fantastic Yoga Classes! I bought a groupon and after a few yoga and pilates classes (offered every day!) I knew I had to sign up for a membership. I don't use the weights but the price of a membership is well worth the classes. They offer yoga, pilates, spinning, zumba etc in the morning and evenings, all built into your membership. The staff greets you as you walk in the door. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable. The other students in the classes are wonderful motivators and new friends. This gym is great.

This is best described as a hotel gym. It is alright for occasional cardio and light strength training. The free weights stop at 90#. There are regular classes. The management and trainers, however, create a bad gym atmosphere. There is no set membership price so be ready to pay more than the person next to you. The trainers are generally rude and unprofessional. Most of them walk around in flip flops and talk about bar hopping with each other the night before. I have never seen personal trainers wearing flip flops before. Overall, not a place I would want to go for a focused workout.

If you know what you're doing, the facility isn't bad at all. Like everyone else here, I'm more than a little disappointed by their lack of service. Most of the managers/owners/employees there have a terrible attitude. Didn't bring my card once, and despite my 3 year contract status, one of the owners/managers just scowled at me, and kept talking about how i was breaking the rules. I had to tell him to chill out before he bursts a vein. Maybe it's cause I'm from a country where customer service personnel start a phone conversation with, "i love you customer, how may i help you," and chain grocery stores stop what they're doing once per hour to sing a "i love customer song," and I thought I became accustomed to all-around terrible service in the U.S., but I don't recall feeling borderline threatened like that before. Honestly, I don't care either way, cause I just go there to get some exercise and lift some weights, but I just felt like reviewing so that any prospective gym applicants could look for other options. I live in the same building as the gym, so I would join this gym regardless of the a-holes administering the place, but others might not find this acceptable. Kevin, with all due respect, I don't feel like I've exaggerated at all. I said, "are you serious?" when one of your staffers gave me a more than stern look (angry really), and demanded I go back to my apartment and get my card despite him knowing exactly who i was, with a reply of "you damn right I'm serious." If he said, "yes, i am, it's really important to us that we have every member log in. sorry, but could you please do this for us?" I gladly would have and apologized for the mistake. Instead, unnecessary tension was the result. I'm just saying it like it is. I feel like I gave a balanced review, and if nothing else, a partner of said business leaving a 5 star review doesn't exactly scream 'totally not conflicted interest' either. Can't say I was also pleased with getting stuck with a 3 year contract with a 24 hour gym only months later for your policy to change to a standard hour gym, and yes, I did use it at 3 a.m. quite regularly. Furthermore, anyone with a head on their shoulders knows these online reviews obviously attract the disgruntled clients. Instead of stating that publicly, basically denying any flaws on your business, perhaps you could reinvigorate confidence by stating that you've talked to your staffers about these issues, and hope to address any problems however rare or minor? Seems like the sensible thing to do. Or... are you suggesting everyone here is lying or that this standard of customer service should be the norm, and we should just stop being so sensitive? Just sayin.

It is a basic gym. I like the power yoga, spinning and Zumba classes. Those instructors are very pleasant and punctual. The classes give you a workout. The other staff have always been fine. A few parts of it need a good cleaning. For the price (i pay $19/month), it's fine. You should already know how to work standard weight machines, if you choose this small gym. It is not a good as Gold's, but I've been going for four years due to it's location and price.
