Now that the rains are filling the falls here again, and Hetch Hetchy Valley's temperatures are warmer on a sunny winter afternoon than Yosemite Valley, I absolutely recommend this walk!  Do it as a full day out or stop leaving Yosemite for a Half Day adventure, you will love this place.

We love our turkeys here,  they are a bit smarter than deer when in traffic.  But I can only think of what a great slow

Great Short

If you like old undiscovered roads this is one of them.  The old road from Sonora and SF ultimately, I like this trail simply because no one is on it.  Just go as far as you want.  You can also access it from Tamarack Flat up top ( the mountain biker in me would love that).  Another great section of the Big Oak Flat Road is the Trail to Tuolumne Sequoia Grove.  Just image old coaches and Model T's making their slow way to Yosemite Valley in another era.
