If you are looking for a caribbean restaurant which lives up to the stereotype of terrible service then you are in the right place. The service is slow and none of the staff there really seem to know what they are doing. I left the table halfway through my meal to visit the bathroom and on my return found that my food had been cleared. Upon asking the waitress why they took my food away when i clearly wasnt finished she responded "i didnt take your food" as if to imply the food magically disappeared by itself?? Shortly after the manager came over and claimed that a different waitress had cleared the food and i must have told her to do so. Not only was he very rude and condescending but his whole manner was very aggressive and made me feel like it was my fault for having gone to the bathroom without finishing my plate. After accusing me he then stormed off without offering so much as an apology let alone a solution to the problem. I was then served another full portion of my meal about half an hour later with no communication from the manager or staff. The treatment so far left me skeptical so i did not feel comfortable eating the food through fear that it had been tampered with in the kitchen. To add insult to injury when it came time to pay the manager stood over us to ensure we paid the full bill. So not only did he make us feel like liars but like criminals too. This place has a lot of work to do in terms of customer service. As a customer i did not find it fair that i had to beg for food that i was going to pay for. The manager there needs a course in how to deal with people because at no point in time was i rude or difficult but all i got in return was an unnecessary passive aggressive attitude. All in all my experience there was far from satisfactory and i definitely will not be back.

Great food Poor customer service Expect them to: take away your food before you have finished, Tell exaggerated truths (lies) when questioned about it, Make you feel like you are being unreasonable, Be passive aggressive towards you, Make you feel paranoid regarding the cleanliness of the complimentary replacement food they took away from you in the first place Have you seating there kinda hungry because you decided not to eat the complimentary food in the end and choice for peace sake not to push the issue further and still pay the bill in full at the end Apart from that, they are great.

Great food! Normally I'm skeptical about fried dumplings, but they were just how I liked them (sweet) - Curry goat: Had the right amount of spice - Rice & Peas: Can't complain - Coleslaw: Just how I make it at home Will definitely take a walk down there when it's warmer (I used a delivery service)

Very disappointed... Lead you in with 10% discount promotion but then use ambiguous drafting on flyer to make you pay in full... and staff is not nice

Really good meal, friendly staff, spacious seating and reasonable prices. I will definetly return to this restaurant. 😆 30/05/16 - Update the food can take a while to come but trust me it is well worth the wait. The food is really great and there is a very good relaxed atmosphere. I have now been there 4 times and each time the food is great.

Went on a Saturday afternoong (2016-04-16). Very authentic. Nice decor with dancehall/reggae music playing, but not at a volume that makes it difficult to speak. Quite veggie unfriendly (but honestly, Jamaica is pretty veggie unfriendly as well) but for the meat eaters, it was really good and authentic. Oxtail was very good (no spice embedded - they have a scotch bonnet sauce on the table you can add to taste) as well as the friend plantain, rice and peas, and festival (more like... Scotchies Jamaica type festival than like Island Grill). They have all the right rums behind the bar (Appleton! White Overproof) and the rum punch was very tasty (this one didn't taste very strong/Jamaican, but was a delicious drink in it's own rite). For best value for money get there before 4pm for a 'Belly Full' meal (even on the weekend). Service was very good/friendly when we went - my best Jamaican food experience in London to date!

I visited Ma Petite after reading the views on Google but was very dissatisfied. On a busy Saturday afternoon they had only one waitress and one bartender. When my food arrived it was heavily covered in what resembled reggae reggae sauce. It wasn't jerk at all which was disappointing. My friends burger had a lot of cheese on it which overpowered the "jerk". The the best part of the meal were the fries and plantain. Everything else was quite bland. Jamaican food isn't bland and shouldn't be served as such. We were never asked if we wanted any other drinks once our 1st and only drinks were finished and it was difficult to get the staffs attention due to lack of them. We didn't receive a 'how was your food' or 'thank you' once our bill was paid and their wasn't a leaving greeting. I left unimpressed. The location is great though.
