Our very own CSTM, or as I still prefer to call it, the Victoria Terminus, is an UNESCO world heritage site. Part of the building is open to the public as a heritage gallery and museum.

The oldest museum in Rajasthan, the Albert Hall Museum is a picturesque structure. The architecture and the decor are just as interesting as the artefacts, which include some really beautiful sculptures and also a Egyptian section with a mummy. The museum is a must visit if you are in Jaipur.

The Shivappa Nayak palace at Shimoga, in Karnataka doubles up as a museum. The old style architecture provides the best backdrop to display some of the most beautiful sculptures found in the region.
