Hi, I'm Jenny and I'm Puertorican. My husband is Mexican and together we make magic in the kitchen. My passion for cooking comes from wanting to ensure my husband ate a healthy diet. I love to cook and bake. I maintain a plant-based diet for the most part. I look forward to connecting with others

Well, I hear that Google+ is like Facebook so if you FB, you should be more familiar than I am.  I don't FB, I actually hate it so it's probably why I have such a hard time using it LoL

Back In The Day Cafe
3470 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27518
My husband and I went for lunch today and we were very pleasantly surprised! After reading a lot of reviews we were hopeful we wouldn't be dissapointed and we weren't. They have food options for everyone, which is great. Their fries and onion strings as mentioned in a lot of reviews are really good. Keith, the owner, made it a point to come over and introduce himself and ask how everything went. He is very attentive and very receptive to feedback. We will definitely be back.

Best Farm to Table Lunch Place in RTP!

Worth it Cafe
2945 South Miami Boulevard, Durham, NC 27703
My husband and I have been going to Worth It Cafe for a little over a year now. They always have FRESH, LOCAL and ORGANIC ingredients! The food is made fresh to order and it is always on point. I've never had anything there I haven't enjoyed and I've ordered from their standard menu as well as their weekly specials. They have options for omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, etc. Chef Chuck and his wife Aileen are the most down to earth and friendliest business owners we've ever met. Not to mention, if you ever have time to listen to Chef Chuck's story you'd be blown away. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone I meet and/or get the chance to talk to. I'm considered by a lot of people to be a "food snob" so if thats an indication of my taste, then you know its good! Their ranch root chips are my absolute fave! Even my husband who claims he "hates beets" likes them! He didn't even know what they were until we ate 2 bags of them together! Aileen is also a WONDERFUL baker so if you happen to go on a day she's prepared a special treat, go ahead and splurge...its worth EVERY calorie LoL

Oh and they also do catering and all catering orders can be customized. Don't forget to check them out and spread the word! They are awesome!!!

I just went for lunch with my husband and it was a horrible experience! When we get there the server wanted us to sit right by the door when it is freezing outside so luckily we moved but she looked bothered when we asked to move. We told her we were there for the first time and she asked us if we wanted the buffet. I thought to myself buffet? I have a flyer for a "Peruvian" place. I told her we were there for the chicken and she brought us the flyer menu which is the same one I have at home. We both ordered a chicken dish he got 1/2 and I got 1/4 and then when when we asked what the sauces were she said "the same ones you get for takeout". Did she miss the memo of when I told her that we had NEVER been there?? So again, I ask her and she's like "let me bring you the sauce". I thought to myself ok. So she brings the sauces and one is a yellow mustard/mayo type sauce that has a bit of heat that was actually good EXCEPT NO ONE could tell us what was in it. We asked the lady that appeared to be the manager and all she knew was that it was a mild/medium spice level and the green one (which was gross BTW) was considered "hot". The food overall was ok, the black beans were actually pretty tasty and they did have a bit of latin flair to them however, the service, the smell, the overall look of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired and I will never go back.

We chose this location for the price and the fact that it is pet friendly. We planned our trip on Thursday and checked in Friday and this motel was about $120 LESS than those in the surrounding areas. When I first walked in to check in I had an AMAZING experience with Craig. He was so attentive, knowledgeable of the area and extremely accommodating! I agree with previous posts, the rooms are very dated but overall my room was EXTREMELY clean! The bed was super comfortable even for my husband who has had 2 back surgeries. The location was perfect, right off the highway but hidden so you don't have to deal with the hectic traffic of Downtown. It was super close to Downtown too and all other places I wanted to go to. Besides the water pressure in the "bathroom" sink being super low (Craig said that AVL is just very conservative and this is why) I had no issues. The bathroom water pressure was great and the temperature was just fine for me. Considering they are "pet-friendly" there wasn't a bunch of dog poop everywhere. I personally pick up my dog's mess so I appreciated not having to jump over other dogs messes. Overall great experience! See Craig and tell him I say hi! He is a wonderful and genuine person. We will definitely be back!!!
