Well, that's odd. Expansion of a 9v. I thought that was Lithium Ion only.

What could this mean? There's no line on the battery graph. Happened twice in a few days. Phone appears to be flat. Wife is a light phone user though, so it's on all day in her bag and charged overnight. She was texting me today during the period in which there is no line on the graph.

Could it be a faulty battery or hardware, or Lineage OS playing up?

Has anyone repurposed an old PC with Linux for use by a 'normal' user, maybe a family member? I'd be interested in hearing how you and they got on.

Been doing a little project lately, breathing new life into old tech. Still working on the old phones side of things, but I'm currently using a very old (but good nick) Gateway laptop. It was crippled by Windows Vista, but after trying some alternatives, I'm pretty happy with Xubuntu (Linux).

With Chromium, it works well for Google+ (using it now), Google Calendar, Google Keep, and even YouTube. Might try working on it all day tomorrow. If it's good enough for me on dual-screen with many, many Chrome (Chromium) tabs running, it should be fine for the average user.

Thought I'd go retro and play with my 2002 Orange SPV. I put in a SIM but it's asking for a SIM unlock code. I assume it means I need a network unlock code. Does anyone have a fast, cheap and reliable place to get them please?

I don't want to spend a long time or lots of cash on this curiosity.

Thanks.

Wouldn't that be 399, or 402?

From a post on LinkedIn.

I'm here, btw, but hardly ever on there. https://www.linkedin.com/in/colin-bowen-b19a94ab/

"Capital, upper case, yes." "Hold down the shift key." "The shift key is on the bottom-left of the keyboard". "Look down at your keyboard, what's the key right at the bottom on the right? CTRL, good. What's the key immediately above that? Shift! You've got it! Great, hold your finger down on that key...." Gotta love remote support :-)

Android app suggestion please. I need a daily checklist reminder to appear in my notifications bar at 7am. No matter how many times i tap it to check off one of the list items, i need it to stay in the notification area until I've completed all the items on the list. Then repeat the next day.

At 4pm, i need a different checklist to arrive in the notification area and stay there until all items on the list have been completed. If my 7am list hasn't completed by the time my 4pm list pops up, i want both reminders to be in my notification area separately.

Do you know of such an app please?
