Sometimes I find myself there because I work on campus, and it is convenient. However, I always regret it. There are several reasons not to use this bicycle shop. 1) It is the most expensive shop in Boulder. It is almost double what other bike shops around town charge. 2) A couple of the people who work there are rude, and don't appreciate the customer's business. 3) They have crappy hours. Sometimes they randomly close in the day. There have been a couple times I have walked there from my office only to find a sign that reads, "Back in 45 minutes." They have a crappy business model, and I don't appreciate their prices or their service. Avoid if possible.

Response from the owner - 6 months ago
Hi Carlos, I'm Kaj the owner. I'm sorry your experiences have been poor. I'll address them myself. I know sometimes the our small store on the Hill only has one employee during the dead of winter, and they my close for 5 minutes to use the restroom, it should never be closed for 45 minutes. Our hours in winter are 10am-6pm except for Sunday 11-5pm that's the same as most other shops in town. On the rudeness, there is no excuse, we have 3 long time employees there and I'll talk to each of them--it's rare to hear a bad review of their behavior, it should never happen, we strive to please and hire people who do that. On pricing, we have lower labor rates than most shops in town, and no product should be over MSRP. If you desire, I would like to get a second chance at your business--please contact me at and I will do something for you to encourage another visit. Thank you for your comments -- it helps us get better to learn where we are falling short.

This shop is by far the best shop I've been to in the Boulder/Denver area. As a bike patroller for Boulder County I can repair most problems with my bike but occasionally I still need to visit a shop if I don't have a specialty tool or need some miscellaneous parts. This shop defines what service means, when I walk into Fullcycle Tim Moore or Tom Morlock pretty much immediately drop what they're doing to come over and ask how they can help. Unlike the elitist Trek Bike Store or Sports Garage shops the guys at Fullcycle try to help fix problems with your existing equipment to save you some greenbacks rather than just slapping new parts on your bike. Sports Garage was going to charge me $40 for a brake overhaul kit, but Tim shuffled through his spare o-ring bucket and got me the one I need on the house. I've have multiple times where they've given me miscellaneous small parts or looked at my bike free of charge. These guys are top notch. That's why when people ask me where they should go for anything bike related I tell them to go to Fullcycle. -Kyle

Ordered some parts from Jamie, and while the rest of the staff needs to get a little more organized, she came through for me, and delivered the parts to my LBS on her way home! Thanks Jamie!

Really great staff, not only did they tell me about trails but they were very friendly and made me feel welcome to the area. Everything a bike shop should be, a place to come ogle new parts, talk to the awesome staff and swap stories. The store had a great vibe when I walked in and felt like a real bike shop, what one should be: a fun place to be. In short, awesome atmosphere, great staff, and a large selection of bikes.

This is a shop that has a knowledgeable and experienced staff. They'll do whatever they can to help you make the right decision in buying a bike, show you how to make adjustments, and work hard to get your bike repaired and tuned quickly so you can get back riding. I also appreciate that they're not pretentious like other snobbish shops. Thanks for everything Full Cycle!!
