Creating a better life by networking and making connections.

We Are Social Animals
No matter whom we are, we are in essence social animals. Just look around - we look strangely at hermits and most of us naturally “take to” other people for some kind of connection. We cannot live without other people. No matter how advanced technological society becomes, we depend or rely on people. The quality of the people we choose to become involved with professionally can define the difference between a life of joy and celebration, and a life of struggle.
Social and business relationships are always in flux. People do not remain the same over time. There are external circumstances and influences that affect them. People often feel that there are rules they should somehow follow to help them connect with others, and yet they don't know exactly what they should be doing or how they should be doing it. Some of us have poor communication skills. Others are intensely focused on our ambitions and personal difficulties and, as a result, we do not know how to stay focused on social responsibilities. What is the key to creating social connection and influence? Common Interests! Talk to people. Ask them “What is your passion?”

When ever I do a chair massage job I always make lasting friendships.

I was reading about the importance of Innovation to building success.

Innovation can be defined simply as
1. A "new idea, device or method".
2. As something original and more effective
3. The application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing needs and, as a consequence, "breaks into" the market or society.[
Innovation is related to, but not the same as invention in that an invention is often the result of innovation. Innovation is accomplished through creativity, visionary thinking, and the surrender of various forms of cognitive bias. The result of innovation is often more effective products, services, processes, technologies, or business models that are readily available to markets, governments, and society.

Innovation is often manifested via the engineering process.
While a novel device is often described as an innovation, in economics, management science, and other fields of practice and analysis, innovation is generally considered to be the result of a process that brings together various novel ideas in a way that they affect society. In industrial economics, innovations are created and found empirically from services to meet the growing consumer demand.

Innovation often arises in unlikely places, often as a side effect of some other event. For example a Japanese scientist discovered a way to keep popsicles from melting. Here is an article about this and how it came about.

Of course flying insects are always a problem at these events.
Here are a few tips to make the company picnic experience more pleasant.
• Punch a hole in a cupcake liner, cover your drink and insert your straw. No more bugs sharing your soda
• Add some sage to your campfire to repell mosquitos.
