Great ceviche and sangria. Lomo saltado is among the best I've had.

Authentic Peruvian food that will satisfy your craving if you can't get a reservation at Picca or Mochica. Large portions. Outstanding ceviche that will make you think you're in Lima. Location however is seedy, safe parking is scarce, and valet lots are very suspicious looking.

Excellent Peruvian cuisine and caring, professional service combined with a nice, refurbished decor and real cloth napkins. Highly recommended (and much, much better than Mario's Peruvian in a dicey strip mall further down Vine).

One of my all-time favorite places to eat. If you're looking for a uniquely new and wondrous taste in foods, this is the perfect Peruvian getaway.

Balcones continues to be my favorite Peruvian restaurant and in fact one of my favorite places to eat in the city. Reservations were easy, staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was great. We had classic ceviche and typical dishes of lomo saltado and aji de gallina which were excellent. Food came (almost too) fast, fish was fresh, meat was cooked to order, rice was perfect. The crowd interesting. Highly recommended.
