A new blog post about getting ready for my solo show in July in Pittsfield, MA. So much to do, so little time.

Don't you love this new quilt? I call it "abstractions on the night" and no, I am not sure if it is a desert scene or an ocean view? What do you think?

Don't you love the colors of this blue table runner? I made it thinking of the Deerfield River that flows in front of my studio. I quilted the banks of the river but let the water flow freely.

Sometimes I just have to take a break from larger quilts and make a bright and colorful table runner. Don't you just love these colors?

I love it when people include my quilts in their blog. This one is great with lots of images of my larger quilts and some other great textile work also. Hope you enjoy.

Sweet. I just learned that my quilt "summer days" sold before the opening of the show Art as Quilt at the Highfield Hall and Gardens in Falmouth, MA on April 15. Thanks SAQA.

I love this quilt but never have a chance to display it in my booth or even my studio because it takes up a lot of wall space. Wouldn't it look great over a sofa or even in an entryway?

Story
Tagline
Quilts that push boundaries and explore new horizons.
Introduction
Color is everything. I am passionate about my unique and recognizable contemporary art quilts that use color, fabric and the traditions of quilt making to explore the prairies of Illinois where I grew up, the rolling hills of western Massachusetts where I now live and landscapes of my imagination. I constantly work with images of dawn and horizons--those places which hold so many possibilities.

Of course I do custom orders.

For more information check out my web site:

In my spare time I raise daylilies and iris.

Bragging rights
My work is in numerous public and private collections including the Museum of Art + Design in NYC, the Federal District Court House in Springfield, MA, the Lodge at Turning Stone, Verona, NY and Surdna Foundation in NYC. I have received the Award of Excellence at the Baltimore Fine Craft Show put on by the American Craft Council.

Occupation
