Jonthan, the obtition, was curtious and helpful. He provided eccelunt service. The examination doctor is why I only gave 4 stars. His deminor and attitude left more to be desired. Don't ask for his professional opinion because he won't give it to you. Being treated and spoken to like I am a child is something I refer to as bad business. If he doesn't enjoy serving patients then he should move his profession elsewhere. Stanton optical has a lot to offer. Great deals along very attentive staff. But they need a new doctor that actually cares. Thank you.

Usually not good. But conveniently located. I'm on hold now for 10 minutes and counting to order additional contacts... Turns out the corporate phone tree can make the locations look very bad. After 23 minutes on hold I called back on another line to learn I wasn't even parked at the store I needed. 1 star is overrated.

I visited Stanton Optical using a Groupon which included a free eye exam, $200 toward one complete pair of new glasses and two boxes of contacts. I waited for two hours past the time of my exam to be seen. The whole exam was a total of 10 minutes. While I was waiting the two hours past my scheduled appointment time, the doctor was taking people ahead of me, who didn't have an appointment. In summary, with Groupon, I ended up paying over $200 for one pair of mediocre glasses, my eye appointment, and 4 boxes of disposable contacts. All of this should have been covered by the Groupon! I called the customer service number to express my dissatisfaction with my experience to which they supposedly credited me $75. I made a separate round trip (one hour each way) to use this credit and was told that there wasn't a credit and that I needed to call the customer service number (again). This time customer service rep told offered me a $25 credit. I asked her if my wasted time (soon to be a total in excess of 6 hours) was worth more than $25? She asked me if I thought I should be getting special treatment? Unfortunately, I will not be returning to use my $25 credit, nor would I recommend anyone else waste their time at Stanton Optical.

This is my second review. I also rated my first visit with one star. This whole experience has been a nightmare. Not only is the staff rude and uncaring but the quality of service isn't anywhere near professional. I've been places where the staff is rather rude but at least they knew what they were doing. These people . . . well, let's just say there wasn't even one sharp knife in the drawer. They got my order wrong for sunglasses - they were only tinted pale grey. I already waited more than 2 weeks and they never called or emailed. I had to stop in to find out that they were "almost done". Just needed some polishing/buffing/whatever. Was told it would take 15 minutes. Forty-five minutes later someone asked if I'd been helped (I was the only client in there for most of the time). Come to find out my glasses had been sitting on the counter for who knows how long. And then to not even have them done correctly. I was waiting to be checked for fit - didn't happen. The lenses were dirty and I cleaned them myself. No apology for the mistake on the sunglasses. They just don't care about anything except swiping your credit card, taking your check or cash and pushing you out the door. I'm sure that if I have any issues with my glasses there won't be any satisfaction monetarily or otherwise. My final words - STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY!!!! P.S. I would actually love to have a face to face with the owner of East Side Stanton. I believe him/her to be a thief of a fairly high degree. Any business that treats customers the way many have been treated there doesn't deserve even one star. No money back guarantees should have been a red flag to me. I couldn't see the fine print until I used my magnifying glass. PLEASE BEWARE!! I'm also reporting my experience to the Better Business Bureau. I suggest others do the same.

They don't deserve any stars and this is why...STAY AWAY FROM STANTON>>>>customers have no value here. I have had SEVERAL horrible experiences with Stanton Optical. The last one being: I went to take advantage of a 2 pair per year for 3 years offer. Keep in mind that this offer was extended to me as compensation for the initial POOR service I received. So this second time, I go in to the EAST store and pick out my frames only to be told can only pick frames for 99.00. This is the first I heard of the free frames cost me 80.00 Ok...I move on and ask if I can take advantage of the buy 2 for 99.00 no line bifocals. only to be told they can't be combined with any other promotion. No problem can I use my insurance to pay for the lenses..." No offers can't be combined:. Now in my mind I am not combining any offers because you gave me free frames due to your horrible service!. I wait a while and call corporate and speak with Katrina who informs me yet again, I" can't combine 2 offers, I have to use value frames if I want to get the 2 pair for 99.00 no line bifocal special, No you can't use the free frames you PAID for, and No you can't return the "free " frames. So Now I am stuck with 2 pair of frames I can't use. I should have known better. My first encounter with Stanton Optical (West side office) last summer was as follows: I ordered 2 pair of glasses ( 1 paid for with my insurance) which took more that 3 months. A quick synopsis of the event: One pair of glasses came back as sunglasses and had to e sent back out for "light tint". The second pair of glasses , well the on site lab broke one of the lenses while cutting it even though I was told they were ready before I got there..smh I am still trying to figure out why they sent the glasses out and still have to complete them in the store. So I say to you Stanton Optical: 1 keep the other pairs of free glasses...the cost too much 2. when offering incentives via phone, please list all of the incentives as well as the restrictions 3. Please stop advertising the 2 pair specials with out letting the customer know that you will only allow them to get the cheap "Value" frames. 4. Last but not least, please stop putting your customers on hold for 20-30 minutes just to receive sub-par outcomes/solutions. 5.Your best moment is when your "corporate" customer service representatives tell customers " There is no body over me when asked ," Can I speak to your supervisor!" Then they direct you to call the store and ask for the "district manger" Maybe they will be of better assistance! Thanks So much Katrina for your help. Let's see if Alex (general mgr) will actually call back with a better resolution. I have 2 nice pairs of frames (1 pair guess and the other are Swedish) if anyone wants them....they are actually free! In box me if you would like them. The least they could have done was refund the money I paid for the FREE frames I got from them. Even thought it has been more than thirty days.
