Great food with a classy style atmosphere. Try the "Black Label Burger". Not your typical hamburger. Tastes somewhere in between a very juicy hamburger and a fine steak; with caramelized onions and a great bun.

Ignore the cramped quarters, it is NY after all. It's a McNally restaurant. The food and service are impeccable. I come here for the Black label burger served with pommes aligot. Cocktails are great too. Yes, it's loud, and it's not as sceney or hip as it was (in my book that's a good thing). Service is always top notch. Wear ear plugs if the noise bothers you, it's that loud. Ha!

Minetta Tavern is very classic old school NY, however the food quality is incredible. We had 4 people at our table and decided to do the black label burgers as an appetizer and then split the Dry Aged Côte de Boeuf. The black label burger is the juiciest burger I've ever had. Yes its $28 for a burger, but it's well worth it. The Dry Aged Côte de Boeuf is served with 2 massive bone marrows, the beef was good, but after having the burger, it wasn't as impressive. We also ordered the 2 souffles (chocolate and grand marnier) - The chocolate souffle was definitely better than the grand marnier. Overall - a satisfying meat centric meal! Make sure you make reservations!

This is an old style McNally owned New York restaurant at its best. I love all of their restaurants. Wonderful food, service and decor. I will return again and again and again. Love!

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Drinks: Excellent. Food: Excellent. I, like everyone else, went to try the Black Label Burger and have to tell you it is worth it. Space: Very quaint bistro with a large bar that opens up to a dining area with tables and booths. Scene: Pick-up scene. Date night. Singles scene. Crowd: 30-50s Afterwork crowd. Pick-up scene. Mostly locals, tourists and professionals. Service: Excellent! Very attentive since it's super crowded.
