Andrew is the first dog adopted through our new Foster Until Adoption program! Andrew’s foster mom was able to tell the potential adopters so much about him that they quickly decided Andrew was a perfect match. We’re actively recruiting volunteers for this new program... it’s a great opportunity to make a huge difference for an animal who needs help. Email us for more info! fosteradopted@sfspca.org

Want a furry friend to keep you company while you work? We’re looking for offices to join our Foster Until Adopt program! Host a shelter animal in your office and help promote her until she finds a new home. Keep in mind that the animal would still need care on the weekends. If you’re interested, contact Gwyn at gjohnson@sfspca.org

#‎SuccessStory‬ Oliver
"He's the last to know there is a three legged dog in the room. He's by far the fastest dog at the dog park."
Thank you, Amanda, for giving this adorable nugget a home. Oliver came to the SF SPCA and stole so many hearts, despite all the hardships he had to go through to get to us. We are so thrilled he has such a wonderful home. ‪#‎adoptdontshop‬

Keep your dog safe! Some brands of peanut butter contain the sweetener Xylitol, which can be fatal when ingested by dogs. If you give PB to your dog as a treat, please check the label - the number of brands using this sweetener is expanding.

"I adopted Jessie-a beautiful senior dog. She's approximately 10 years old and is sweet as can be. She must've come from a bad situation and was afraid of everything. She has come a long way and has learned to trust again. She is the highlight of my day and I love that she has learned to wag her tail. I highly recommend senior dogs - so loving and don't require tons of walking. Jessie's favorite past time is snoozing." -Karen. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month!

"This is Baxter, formerly DJ, and Minnie. I adopted them both in 2007, six months apart. At first they didn't get along, but now they're cuddle buddies!! I love them both so much and can't imagine my house being a home without them!" - Irene

#‎SuccessStorySunday‬ Nessa (a.k.a Daisy Dukes)
"She is a dreamy, dreamy girl!"
Sometimes a few words is all it takes to explain the human-dog bond. Nessa's (formerly Daisy Dukes) owners certainly think so and we are inclined to agree. Nessa is a dream and is living the much deserved dream of a forever home! ‪#‎happy‬ ‪#‎pitbulllove‬
