We love BBQ... so we thought we would give On Q a try. Service was friendly and had our drinks quickly... and refills came just as fast. The pricing was a little higher then average. I ordered a half chicken and my girlfriend ordered the pulled pork. Fries were extra and my half chicken didnt come with anything so i added a medium bbq beans. Food came quick and the presentation was decent. My chicken was on the dry side but overall taste was good... for just chicken. As BBQ chicken... the flavor just was not there. The baked beans were decent with a hint of green pepper. My girlfriend said her pulled pork was ok but also lacked in flavor. Our check was $24.02... a bit pricey for lunch. I do not mind paying higher prices when the food is on par with the prices but the food we ate was not representative of a $24 price tag. Probably will not be back because there are less expensive BBQ places with much better food with 5 minutes of this place. Best thing today was the service

The food has always tasted good, it's the quantity and customer service that's going down the tubes. I paid $19.24 for a to-go order of a chicken diner with two sides and a pulled chicken sandwich with two sides, what I got was sad at best. The chicken "diner" consisted of a small quarter piece of dark meat, one slice of white bread and a TINY single serving of sweet potato fries. The pulled chicken sandwich was all dark meat and the same TINY single serving of fries. When I asked the cashier if she considered that a double side of fries, (cause that's what I paid for) she agreed that it was too small and then HAD TO ASK someone in the back if I could have more fries. Really? Then when they finally gave me food, there was no apology, no acknowledgement that I had to wait around another 10 minutes while the rest of my food got cold, nothing. When I have to fight for food that I paid for, then it's time for me to start taking my business elsewhere.

This is my favorite BBQ. Mr F. catered a baby shower back in August 2009 when he still had the roadside mobile kitchen. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready on time. Mind you this was on a Sunday morning at 1130am! The food was a hit! I love the home cooking. The mac and cheese is like my grandma used to make and not to be missed. I only wish I could get there more often.

Great BBQ! Worth the drive to San Antonio! The sauces are great... I ordered the combination plate with the sweet potato fries. Yummy!

35 miles away, and I'd come back again and again! Had a great meal here. Growing tired of the so-so BBQ in Lakeland I decided to look around and see what else is out there. I am so glad I took a chance here. Small place, but had enough seating for quite a few people. Plus the outside area had a good ammount of seats. Now the food. I had corn nuggets to start. They were really good, tasted like they used fresh corn and not the canned corn like most I've tried. Rib platter. Honestly, these ribs were perfectly cooked. Not overly smoky, not overly seasoned. The flavor came through in a way that you almost do not need any sauce. Meat was super tender and did not have to fight to take a bite. Some places where they say "fall off the bone" well, if it actually falls off the bone.. they cooked it too long. And if you have to gnaw on them to get meat... then they are way way over done.Ribs should be a perfect balance between that. This was it. Side of beans were outstanding. Had little bits of baccon in them. Very good. Mac-n-cheese was just ok. A friend had the beef brisket. I tried a little and it was very good. I would certainly come back and try that. So, to wrap this up... If you are looking for good BBQ. please give this place a try. An honest to goodness place where you can taste the love in the quality of the meat. I'll be coming back here again for sure. Keep up the great work.
