We've been here a few times now, and noticed that on some occasions the service can be iffy. The food is alright, and can range from good, to.. not. Prices are comparable to other places, but at the time of this review there's no "all you can eat" option. Meat: Pulled chicken is always decent, and is lightly coated with sauce. I've had the rib tips, which were delicious the first time I tried them, and absolutely dried out the last time that I tried them. (very disappointing). Fries - the fries come seasoned, and they tend to be way over salted.. I'm perfectly capable of putting my own salt on my fries. To salt fried as heavily as they do in the kitchen there, is unnecessary and completely ruins the flavor. The seating inside and out is nice, although the place itself is small, it usually has enough tables. nThe atmosphere outside is nice, whereas inside it's very basic. The last time we were there, we noticed that the staff were slow to clean the tables, only doing it when someone else came to sit down... not a nice atmosphere to sit in. Something else we noticed was the trash that was left under the tables, napkins plastic forks etc, which we thought was a bad indication of the overall hygiene. Also on our last visit the service was not just slower than usual, but downright sloppy. The server brought the food out and then completely disappeared until we had finished eating and she came to collect the plates, no drink refills were offered until this point and at no time during the time we were eating did she come and check on us. That basically took the enjoyment out of the experience, especially as the rib tips were dry and the fries so over salted that I couldn't eat them. I did comment about the fries and the service to the owner at the checkout, he apologized, but by that time it was really too late. We would probably go back one more time just to see if it was worth giving another chance, but it would be a decider on whether it was time for us to try another barbeque instead... there are a lot of other choices around the area.

The food comes out fast and it's amazing. The staff is sweet and overall service is fine. The turkey ribs are fantastic. Everything is always fresh. It's cheap, our bill is about 25 bucks, and their soup specials are really really good. We have had some issues with the beer coming out a little flat, but otherwise, we're always pleased. The atmosphere is really cute and its pretty quiet considering how close it is to the road. So pretty at night. The porch is nice and the inside is well-lit abd comfortable. It gets a little drafty inside, but our server just covers the vent with a phone book. Haha! One of our favorite places. Love it. Definitely try it if you're ever in the area.

Small restaurant serving great BBQ. I had ribs with the meat falling off of the bones and great tasting sweet potato fries. Great place for a quick and tasty meal.

Great BBQ! Worth the drive to San Antonio! The sauces are great... I ordered the combination plate with the sweet potato fries. Yummy!

The food was decent but one waiter was very whiny and it would seem that she didn't want to do her job. I was very uncomfortable and will most likely not come back.

This place is nothing short of fantastic. The pulled pork is the best I have EVER had. We tried the corn nuggets on our most recent visit and we will now be getting those everytime we go there. I recommend this place to all my family and friends. It is one of our favorite places to eat!

We love BBQ... so we thought we would give On Q a try. Service was friendly and had our drinks quickly... and refills came just as fast. The pricing was a little higher then average. I ordered a half chicken and my girlfriend ordered the pulled pork. Fries were extra and my half chicken didnt come with anything so i added a medium bbq beans. Food came quick and the presentation was decent. My chicken was on the dry side but overall taste was good... for just chicken. As BBQ chicken... the flavor just was not there. The baked beans were decent with a hint of green pepper. My girlfriend said her pulled pork was ok but also lacked in flavor. Our check was $24.02... a bit pricey for lunch. I do not mind paying higher prices when the food is on par with the prices but the food we ate was not representative of a $24 price tag. Probably will not be back because there are less expensive BBQ places with much better food with 5 minutes of this place. Best thing today was the service

The food has always tasted good, it's the quantity and customer service that's going down the tubes. I paid $19.24 for a to-go order of a chicken diner with two sides and a pulled chicken sandwich with two sides, what I got was sad at best. The chicken "diner" consisted of a small quarter piece of dark meat, one slice of white bread and a TINY single serving of sweet potato fries. The pulled chicken sandwich was all dark meat and the same TINY single serving of fries. When I asked the cashier if she considered that a double side of fries, (cause that's what I paid for) she agreed that it was too small and then HAD TO ASK someone in the back if I could have more fries. Really? Then when they finally gave me food, there was no apology, no acknowledgement that I had to wait around another 10 minutes while the rest of my food got cold, nothing. When I have to fight for food that I paid for, then it's time for me to start taking my business elsewhere.
