Super excited! The first issue of Natasha's first comic is out in print and online. Check it out! This has been a long time in the making but is just the beginning.

So in today's post I continue the quest of capturing video recordings of my Sikuli tests using QuickTime. But instead of a horrible failure and many angry words for Apple... Sikuli rides to the rescue and everything turns out okay... if a bit strange.

I was asked about some Sikuli stuff by somebody I met on the jMeter IRC channel. So I've gone and written up a couple of posts (first one linked below) about my work with Sikuli.

For a few years I've been kicking around this concept of "software as a precipitate". Software is the byproduct of the collective understanding of an individual or organization. Software is an idea given form.

+paul caggegi Here are some samples I tried combining Freestyle (http://freestyleintegration.wordpress.com/) using a couple of random models from +Yepsketch. There are obviously some problems with just slapping them in there and rendering with Freestyle, but I'm sure someone with more experience using Freestyle could get this to work nicely. I'm not that experienced with Blender myself. It might be interesting to play around with these some more using other techniques like the inking tutorial (http://blendernpr.org/inking-in-blender/) over at http://BlenderNPR.org.

Update: I realized some of the weird extra lines in the model on the left (I think that was a dishwasher...) may be due to the very old build of the Freestyle Blender branch I have... so these might actually turn out better with a more recent version... Sadly I don't have the time to sort out compiling a new copy today.

There was a request for Dan Tat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_tart) at my residence... so I made some from scratch using this recipe: http://thewanderingeater.com/2010/02/27/baking-egg-custard-tarts-aka-dan-tats/
