My first Radiant Health Blog will be about the 12 day series I just watched about strengthening our brain. It became apparent to me that anyone and everyone can benefit from this series.
It was put on by Peggy Sarlton, author of "Awakening From Alzheimers" and The Center for Alzheimer's. I was first drawn to it because my father passed away with Alzheimer's Disease but succumbing to pneumonia while at a care facility. I had heard that Alzheimer's runs in families through the genes and I wanted more information.
I learned that Alzheimer's can be turned off!!! Peggy Sarlton interviewed top Doctors around the United States who are specialists in the aging population. They are calling Alzheimer's the Type III Diabetes. Senility also is caused by brain plaques. A low glycemic diet is necessary to combat senility. This calls for no sugar, low carbs and no white foods.
If you suspect mental decline in yourself or a loved one, there are important tests your doctor should run to rule out; bladder infections, candida, IBS and sinus infections and Lyme disease. Those infections take special courses of treatment. You must also be sleeping 6 to 8 hours every night. If not, a sleep study may be in order.
The brain needs to be fed the right foods and supplements. The twelfth day was an interview with Dr. David Perlmutter, Author of "Grain Brain", "Brain Maker" and his newest book, "Grain Brain Whole Life Plan".
Peggy Sarlton and the Center for Alzheimer's are scheduling one more weekend of these free videos for anyone to watch in October 2016. They also offer DVD's for purchase of the entire series.
I welcome comments from you on this subject.
