I published an article on my blog last night and sent a broadcast to my mailing list this morning.

Ever since I started blogging, I've never had such positive response from my email subscribers regarding my article.

In fact, someone asked me what I gained from sharing "trading secrets" that other companies hid from the public eye or charged for.

I've just realized that 'case study' posts do resonate so well with my audience a lot.

They want to read my real-life experiences and stories.

Therefore, I've resolved to share more of case studies on my blog this year.

I will only write about marketing and sales strategies that have worked for me or my clients.

No more blogging like the crowd.

Let the bigger blogs compete for those.

I'll only share my own stories.

Sales Process:

Just as Rome wasn't built in a day, neither are customers.
This has happened to me this year.
Finally, a reputable law publishing company decided to hire me after a year of attending several meetings at the firm, the lawyer finally wrote a cheque for me to come train his team.
Even though it took him a while to make that decision, I didn't give up totally. I simply added his contact details to my CRM and kept sending helpful tips and newsletters via email and connected with him on social media (i.e. LinkedIn) so he could see my updates.
Not just him.
I make sure that all my prospects keep seeing my messages online until they are ready to buy.
What is the moral lesson?
Master the ART OF FOLLOWING UP with your customers and prospects.
If they don't buy from you today, does not mean they won't hire you in the future.
Just keep showing up with helpful tips until they are ready to make that decision.
Invite them to join your Facebook or WhatsApp group and share tips with them.
Below are statistics (via National Sales Executive Association) that show you just how patient & consistent you must be with your sales follow-ups:
"- 48% of sales people never follow up with a prospect
- 25% of sales people make a second contact and stop.
- 12% of sales people only make three contacts and stop.
- Only 10% of salespeople make more than three contacts.
- 2% of sales are made on the first contact
- 3% of sales are made on the second contact
- 5% of sales are made on the third contact
- 10% of sales are made on the fourth contact
- 80% of sales are made on the fifth to twelfth contact."
