Very interesting. These two conjoined twins are fused at the brain. They are connected by a novel neuroanatomical structure being called a "thalamic bridge" as it connects their two thalamuses. The two girls, each with a unique personality and taste, refer to themselves as "I" and share sensory data.
The miraculous life of Tatiana and Krista Hogan and what it could reveal about the human brain.

Yesterday, while at work, one of my journalist regulars, Jennifer Sharpe, asked what keeps me from getting into radio. While I answered that it's a bit of the production element, not knowing where to start, I mentioned I was working on a documentary idea. Intrigued, she asked what the subject was. After I explained it, she pointed me to this story she did for the Madeleine Brand show on Los Angeles' affiliate of NPR.

The story is of a group of kids from Azusa Pacific University who formed an intentional community around their shared loss of faith and the desire to recreate a sense of community they only knew in the Church.

+Jordan Peacock I know you'll be interested.

A great BBC featurette on the current pursuit of fusion tech. Not to mention, the best use of Radiohead's "Reckoner" I've ever heard. I recommend the full Horizon episode if you can find it.

I'm really curious what other interactions could be modeled as a 3 dimensional data sculpture. Also, in what other fields can the fusing of art and data illustration leap off the page of 2-dimensional infographics (such as those on sites like informationisbeautiful.net) into auditory or dimensional explanations? It seems like polymetric interactions and complex dynamics can be better modeled this way while scalar and value comparison charts or variable change rates work better as illustrative images.
