My HTC One X+ consistently failed to recognize my sim card. Just updated to the Samsung S4 and so far I really like it. I don't love all of the Samsung UI tweaks but the hardware itself is of good quality, the software is fast, screen great and the camera is very good, something that I could never say about the HTC One X+ (terrible camera, bad sim card reliability). What I really don't like is all the junk AT&T and Samsung "apps" that are installed and that cannot be removed. Not installing junk on the phone is something that Samsung still needs to copy from Apple :). As for the custom features like gestures, split screen, etc... Meh. waste of time and clearly just used as marketing ploys. The phone doesn't need the gimmicks it's solid without them, the gimmicky features just get in the way of initial ease of use and are better off just being shut off for most people.
