Glad to see this. I've been struggling with multi displays for a while since I'm cheap and have 2 different sized monitors. Its always worked and has been improving, but this should be a major step forward.

If I can get GTK 2.0 back, why not...

Wish there was any easier way to configure 3 monitors with ATI/NVIDIA and built-in agp (for me 2 monitors on ATI 1 monitor on Intel). I never got it to work.

Are you guys working on that too? Fighting with xorg.conf is very painful and depressing :(

Also I say, spanning the panels on 2 monitor is very wasteful.

Also I think you guys should take a look at how KDE is implementing app menu

yes may be similar to windows but its not actually that bad!

I use Ubuntu 11.10 with dualscreen. Works brilliantly with my gtx 460:-)

Please god do this. Dual screen works fine, but us developers need more. Some of my co-workers write code inside of windows, and ssh into a linux box JUST BECAUSE of the screen real estate issues.

And what about proprietary drivers ?? Will this works fine with them ?? Because when I don't have proprietary drivers installed, my computer is more loud than ever !
