As long as we have been doing our programming language rankings here at RedMonk, dating back to the original publication by Drew Conway and John Myles White, we have been trying to find the correct timing. Should it be monthly? … Continue reading →

For those of you that have flashed your Moto X's, how did you accomplish it? Coming from Nexus devices, I've never bothered flashing ROMs and trying to sort through which is the simplest, easiest approach is a challenge. For example, what's easiest of rsdlite/cwm/etc?

I've got an American Movil Moto X that I'd like to flash over to a dev edition equivalent, or at worst, the AT&T version. Just need to sort through the various options and figure out how to do it most efficiently - and not brick the device in the process.

It was quite nice even for somebody without glasses but there was a video about 1-2 weeks ago how to install custom launcher on glasses so it wasn't revolutionary. Anyway huge applause for Google for releasing all images (rooted, base and so on..).

concur. took maybe ten minutes here, which is impressive given how terrible our infrastructure is generally.

I just installed a +Nest in our house and wow.. it was a truly magical setup experience. Every device should be this easy to setup.

Nice little sushi place a bit out of the way, south of Union Sq and north of SOMA. Not a big venue - they don't seat large parties - but a great, reasonable cost place to get your sushi.

Excellent bottle shop / tasting room. Always have good lines, if a little CA heavy on the selection, along with an excellent reserve bottle list. Even better, you can have them open anything available in the store. Great little place.

Great tasting room, better beers. Gotta love the setting as well, tucked away in the woods of Newcastle.

If you like beer, and you're near the Mandalay, this is where you go. I think they have burgers, too.

Out of the way small venue with a really excellent old wood bar. In spite of the fact that it's reasonably proximate to Grand Place, it had more of a local flavor when we were there. Beer selection was solid but not excellent, with no food but chips available (though that could have been the hour). In general it's a bar worth visiting, if only to get a better feel for local flavor of Belgian beer bars. My favorite venue in Brussels.

After an internet reservation, a phone ahead reservation and a call at the reserved time, taxi showed up more than ten minutes late.
