We are now concentrating our practice on the representation of individuals who have long term disability policies through their employers, have become disabled and applied for benefits and have either had their benefits denied, or have been paid some benefits but then had their benefits terminated. These long term disability claims are typically governed by the federal ERISA statute. If you have received an adverse benefit determination you likely only have 180 days to appeal and will not have any opportunity to submit additional information in support of your claim during federal litigation should that be necessary. Please contact us right away if you find yourself in this unfortunate position.
