I am very much looking forward to the responses for In Between Game Actions for Dust to Dust on Nov 8-10 in Georgia.

IBGAs are a ton of work for the plot committee, but make me so very, very happy.

I'm guessing the response by the Plot Staff is, "Awesome! We have three hundred writing prompts provided by a voracious audience that takes this really seriously! Yeehaw! "

:)

From Harbinger of Doom's blog, "The frustration of "my abilities don't work" and the tension of "we're getting beaten up" do not combine into "we're having a good time,"

Under the umbrella of "abilities" I would also put special items.  I know I've personally altered what I want/use based on past combat encounters.

Isn't there an Eclipse event coming up soon?

There is! The Eclipse season opener is the weekend of January 18-20,   and is viewable through the Events tab on the side bar.

It is an excellent opportunity to experience a wonderful game through either PCing or NPCing! Remember, if you do choose to NPC, you may use that Button you gain for the weekend at either Eclipse or Dust to Dust!

If the one-day is meant to appeal to potential/new players, we should probably great a publicly viewable blurb (this one requires login/membership).

FROM ASHLEY:   Hello everyone,

Since we will have a long day at Picketts Mill an no tavern I thought I would get a discussion going about food. I have a small folding table I can bring to set food up on outside wherever we are located in-play. I'm really not a good cook, so I generally stick with bringing things like bread and chips to share. Does anyone else plan to bring along items to share?

YIKES! Less than 2 weeks til the 3-day.  Why do I always have a pre-event freakout?  I've been doing this for years and I still get giddy right before an event. I always try to schedule one day before the event to have time just for packing, list making, prop reconstructing, poking at everyone else to see what I missed and, yet, I still manage to leave the house without an extra towel.

I've got the packing pretty well down (except for those few occasions of no pillow... ) it's the last minute crafting that's killing me! Why do I always come up with some brilliant idea the weekend before the event? Do I really need to bind a book of Lores as the prize for the cipher contest? Really?

"Are Fallen considered "kill on sight" in Tarsikka?  I have a vague recollection of the rule in Marath Suvla being "don't attack first"."
...
Unless I somehow remember to clarify, the town guard view of Fallen is Kill It Hard On Sight.

I think the last comment from +Jorge Diaz was that what he heard about the scene with the Fallen was not that we failed to jump them because there were only three of us.

Which is actually completely fair--I'm not saying that it couldn't have devolved into violence, but given the situation at least my character was not going to jump first.  Our numbers versus their numbers didn't really go into the mental computations at that point.
