This is my favorite brewery in Los Angeles with a very laid-back atmosphere. The bartenders are extremely informative and will tell you a lot about your beer. If you visit during the day you can receive a free tour of the brewery and try a beer straight from the tank! The best part is they also have great food! My favorites are the Kolsch beer, tater tots and Jack Fruit Tacos.

Golden Road was so busy tonight, that a stream of hundreds of cars drove into the 20-car parking lot out front, and promptly turned right around when they realized it was full, and parked three blocks away. You can't blame LA patrons for needing respite like this-- a warehouse turned open air, European bench-style brew house with curious craft beers and nicely prepared dishes. It's reminiscent of normal American cities where people know their neighbor's names, and go to the same church, and have block parties. Nothing phony here. Makes you wistful for the American city you came from.

Great selection of craft beers that are made on location. They have a great warehouse atmosphere with indoor and outside seating for eating, drinking or mingling with friends.

Commercially available overpriced craft beer. I understand that this brewery grew so quickly because of its ability to market itself. However in the lightning fast 0 - 60 growth period, the beer culture did not grow with it. The food isn't over the top crazy or delicious, and the beer isn't something new or reminiscent of the West Coast. So what the hell is it? It's a place for yuppies to go and pretend they're in to craft beer. I'm not going to keep on badmouthing marketing success. In fact, I'm impressed that there is a wider selection of beers now and that they maintain a family friendly environment and a party till 2 vibe. But I will not forgive that I cannot choose my choice of beer in a 4 for $7 flight, or the fact that I couldn't reserve a spot for a brewery tour over the phone. I do however have hope that the beer culture will grow from within.

Great industrial space along the tracks for this brewery, just make sure to drive straight across if you're exiting the Ventura Fwy. First time in its worth getting both flights of beers to get a good feel for what they're capable of. Food selections were unique and classic at the same time. Pretzel of course, and short rib tacos. You will spend a little, but it's worth checking out.

Golden Road Brewing is a great place to hang out and grab a bite to eat along with good beer. They always have a well selection of their house beers. They offered both vegan and non-vegan items on their menu. They also have a very nice deck where you can bring your dog.
