I love reading books, it's like watching a great movie. A good book is one that brings out your expressed feelings.

I love life and believe in living in reality and teaching reality and not sugar coating it, but I love dreaming of fantasy - its my way of escaping the harsh truths.

I have two daughters and one son.  They are grown now and are working on giving me lots of grandkids.

Hands down, best place to stay in Bar Harbor, Maine is a place called "Narrows Too Camping Resort" in Trenton, Maine. It's literally 25 minutes from the town of Bar Harbor. 20 minutes to Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain, Sands Beach, Bubble Rock, and lots of lobster and Fishing, whale Watching Tour, and of course lots of hiking trails and mountain climbing. The park itself isn't a big resort in my opinion but it has a nice pool, adult center, small playground, very nice bath houses, canoe and sea kayak rentals ($10 an hour), and nice large sites for the big rigs. Lots of pull through and back in sites. Very friendly and helpful staff with an awesome manager. Has several water front sites but I can tell you that even though you don't get a water front site - most sites you have a view any way. You get free cable and wifi - by the way is awesome. We are so pleased with our site and how spacious it is. Every site has a fire ring as well. Every site is a FHU 30/50 amp. It's actually the only RV park that has a beach access point. The tide comes in and out so you have to be careful when you launch your boat/kayak from there by being sure to get back before tide goes back out. The shuttle bus picks you up in front of office and stops all over the island/towns. So you don't even have to drive into town, just take bus for the cost is FREE. It takes you to ever stop in the National Park as well. To top it off, the whole area is dog friendly. We've been here 3 weeks and leave Monday - kind of sad to leave. Will definitely be coming back to this awesome park.

Very secluded park - great place to get away from it all. Though it only has standard electric hook up (30 amp) we managed just fine using our reducer from 50 to 30 amp. There is no water or septic on the individual sites but every 4 or 5 sites there is a water spout to fill your tanks if needed and there are clean bath houses through out park. Also there is a big dump station to empty your sewage. We enjoyed the big roomy spot at #22, has big fire pit and extra large picnic table. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even had fire wood. I think the only draw back for us because we are not use to it, is the huge mountains we encountered driving here - very curvy and steep. We have an F350 pulling a 40 ft 5th wheel (16,000 lbs) so you can imagine how scary it was making those sharp curves going up n down the mountain. Our brakes were squealing by the time we got halfway through the mountains. But the view was absolutely beautiful and the experience is something we'll never forget. The town Elkins is 10 minutes away and has many stores, places to eat, and fuel - $2.39 a gallon for diesel at Krogers.

Don't ever ever ever take your pet here! I called on a Friday to arrange for them to watch our dog - boarding for 12 hours and was quoted $50 - 30 for boarding and $20 because we were dropping our dog off early (6:25 am) and picking her up late (6:30 pm). First when talking on Friday the lady on phone said all we needed was her latest shot records which is fine, however when we get there Monday morning to drop our dog off we were informed that our dog needed a Fecal and a Bordetella Transmucosal Vaccine. Well we are fine with that - we are thinking $50 for boarding and $60 for the test n vaccine. No problem $110 right. Well NOT! They charged us $31.90 for boarding $30 Fecal Centrifuged $35.00 Bordetella Transmucosal Vaccine $50 Special Drop off at 6:15 am $27.50 Special pickup at 6:30 pm Total: $174.00 What makes me so mad and upset about the $174.00 is the fact that I was quoted $50 for the boarding and early and late pick up. I don't have a problem paying for reasonable services. People this is dishonest and highway robbery at its best because they have you by the balls and are literally laughing all the way to the bank. Seriously to pay $50 for a person to get up and go to work a little earlier is absurd especially since I'm all ready paying an early dropoff / late pick up fee and using their service to get the health vaccine. But news flash - Karma comes around. Come to Texas and let us show you what real hospitality is like. We don't take advantage of our visitors. As far as my dog, she ran to us quick and then straight to a water bowl and drank it all like she was so thirsty. I'm wondering how they treated her and if she even had water during her stay. I truly hope another Vet comes to town and puts this place out of business. I know one thing this place will never get my business again!!!!
