I didn't find the "no true Scotsman" discussion very enlightening. I wouldn't want to get into the "real meditation" debate, because I don't think there's a valid distinction to be made there. All I said was that we didn't know what he was doing or whether it even vaguely resembled any traditional form of Buddhist meditation. It's possible he was doing some kind of "bare attention" which can sometimes deaden the emotions, but we just don't know. It's more likely that he was simply cultivating hatred and slapping the label "meditation" on it, in which case his actions really say nothing about meditation as practiced by non-psychopaths.
