With a little help from Joseph Coco, I managed to make a map that outlines the rest of this year's conventions.  Should I add any new ones, I'll be sure to update the map.

Did my demo setup for MoCCA-fest today. Had to really pare down what I plan to sell, since I am sharing a table with Eric Lide and Jon Griffiths. I'll have brand spankin' new copies of my fresh from the press all ages comic, 7" Kara, a $2 grab box with mix and match goodies, double sided clear acrylic charms, and I'll even do $5 sketches! If you're in NY or will be at MoCCA, you should swing by table D1 and get some comics!

Hourly Comic Day
February 1st, 2014 was Hourly Comic Day, a day when artists do a strip or panel for every hour they're awake.  I've tried to participate in years past, but would become so distracted by the day's actual work that I'd forget to complete my hourlies.  This ye...

I'm a native to Louisiana, the New Orleans area, and found the food lacking. I had the gumbo as an appetizer, which was server in a mug for some strange reason. It was loaded with green onions which is not traditional and did not enhance the flavor. It was goopy and lumpy over all and grossly sour. The rice ratio was wrong as well, but the rice was cooked fine. For dinner I had the vegetarian ravioli, which was lacking in flavor and not worth the price. My significant other who was also a native to Louisiana had the Jambalaya which was the sticky variety (which was not soupy like some places strangely serve) rather than the dry. It was okay. The meat was cooked well though poorly seasoned. The rice was good and had a good flavor. Portion was good for the price.

Planet Fun is a fantastic shop, selling not only used videogames, nostalgic toys, and comics, but also the work of local artists. The owner of the shop is extremely knowledgable and both charges and pays a fair price for the wares he's buying or selling. Whenever I'm on Broughton Street, I try to make it a point to check out what's new at Planet Fun. If you're looking for a well curated manga selection, Planet Fun is a great choice. The used books are very affordable, and the selection is continually growing. I always find something to add to my collection.
