Happy First Release Friday! Today we will be providing a sneak peak of the new Emergency Use questionnaire in the WVU+kc 5.1.1 IRB Protocol module. Previously, any emergency use protocols did not have a questionnaire to complete. Instead, customers would attach a completed EU report document. In WVU+kc 5.1.1., there is a new emergency use section that populates on the Questionnaire page when the Emergency Use protocol type is selected.

Happy First Release Friday! Today we will be providing a sneak peak of the revised Personnel page for the WVU+kc 5.1.1 IRB Protocol module. To alleviate confusion when adding personnel to a protocol, we have renamed the search fields in the Add Person section. Previously named Employee Search, the WVU MyID Search field should be used to search for all WVU students and faculty who are registered in the WVU Identity and Access Management system. The Non WVU MyID Search should be used to search for non-WVU affiliated people who are serving a role on a protocol but do not need access to the system.

Happy First Release Friday! Today we will be providing a sneak peak of the revised Personnel page for the WVU+kc 5.1.1 IRB Protocol module. To make sure that customers are aware that PI Qualifications is a required field, we have defaulted that section to be open upon navigating to the page. Please remember that PI qualifications should only be a couple of sentences stating the PI's current position at WVU, years of experience, and any previous experience in the particular research field. A complete CV or resume is not needed.

Electronic Research Administration at West Virginia University
Introduction
WVU's electronic research administration (eRA) solution, known as Kuali Coeus (KC) is a new web-based application developed for funding notification, grant submission, administration of awards, research compliance, conflict of interest and a variety of other research administration tasks. The WVU+kc project team is building a comprehensive, customizable system to manage the complexities of research administration that fully addresses the needs from the faculty researcher through grants administration to federal funding agencies which will replace the existing paper and legacy applications.
