Had to change the rear axle shaft bearing and seal on a Wrangler TJ, on pulling the axle shaft it was noted that the oil running out of the axle tube has a silver streak in it! So took out the filler plug, not good! I think we need to advise the customer further investigation may be required!

Recently we had a Wrangler TJ in with high mileage and front brakes that had a tendency to snatch. On stripping down the brakes both knuckles were badly notched. Which can cause the brake pads to snag on the sliders. With care and the correct welding rods these notches can be filled and the sliders ground back into shape.
