You know I'm not one for hyperbole, but this free tool could slightly change your life. I also have news on a sale, a freebie giveaway, then something bearing a passing resemblance to a competition, as well as an interview, a guest post, and a gratuitous picture of a panda. Although is a picture of a panda ever really gratuitous? That question unanswered, and many more.

Take Off Your Pants! by Libbie Hawker is reduced to 99c today. It's amazing at any price, this is a no-brainer. Probably the best book on plotting out there (and written by someone who is an amazing writer of historical fiction too - check out Tidewater for an example).

In today's post, I talk about the background to my new book Liberty Boy, including something anyone who grew up in Dublin in the 80s should remember: Malton's prints. And how they didn't tell the full story.

I had something to get off my chest this morning, and Twitter is the perfect place for a rant. I've summarized the whole thing handily here via Storify. For the super lazy, here's the short version: the reason the publishing industry doesn't care about author scamming is because they are all making money from it
