Do you know all the stories and meanings behind the universally famous Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh?

This video by +Canal Educatif à la Demande (CED) tells you about the masterpiece's secrets.

Hmmm. I will have to check him out. I have read several books about Van Gogh, but his name isn't ringing any bells. Thanks for the recommendation.

This is the first part of an experimental graphic novel/project I've been working on. I plan on printing these on canvas and then painting them in full color acrylic. This project is very experimental for me - I'm still searching for the proper medium to tell the story. I started out with a series of paintings, then wrote a novel, and am now playing around with a loose graphic novel format. This is all new to me and I'm figuring things out as I go.

I enjoyed writing the novel, but decided that I'd like the follow up to be more like a concept album - where each song loosely fits with the others to tell a story. I am not in the mood for boundaries, limitations, or strict narrative right now, and am trying to create a story that is dream-like, wandering, and blurs the line between the creator and the viewer. I'm hoping to create something that isn't polished, that is a bit rough, and a bit of a challenge to wrap yourself around.

So the overall project is still a work in progress, but except for cleaning this up and painting it, this piece is more or less done.

I thought to that link would take you inside the "paintings" album but it didn't. Open up the paintings album to see the color scheme I plan on using.

I actually timlined my story on my own, naturally, to create a series of paintings that told my story. Then it snowballed and grew into my first novel.

I find that there is this creative spirit in us that makes things possible. That spirit drove me to teach myself to paint, and now I can. That same spirit drove me to write a novel, and I did that too. It also drove me to create a blog, and I'm doing that as well. I didn't get any training in any of these areas, but that creative spirit pushed me forward. And I can recognize that same creative spirit in the article below, because it took me to that same place without ever having heard of this method.

That creative spark, that emotional drive is more important than know how. Spark and drive, if properly nurtured, will seek out know how, and then things become manifest.

Very interesting. I'd never heard of Donald Miller before. Wow. I apparently was missing out on something that I'll have to investigate further. Maybe after I finish watching Dr. Phil. First.
Ever walked into a movie halfway through? You were likely scrambling your brain trying to figure out what's happening on screen. If you were lucky you had a

Explains my thinking exactly!
