Our trade fair appearance at Medica 2017 in Düsseldorf was once again a great success.

As last year, we presented ourselves at two booths. A high number of national and international visitors, at the WT joint stand and at the sports conference, showed great interest in our TrainOXYTM and DR2 sensor systems. Impressively, we were able to prove the measurement and evaluation of the parameters muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2), tissue hemoglobin index (THI), pulse rate (PR) and pulse strength (PI) in the NIRS / VIS technologie and arouse the interest of numerous athletes.

Strength training of a new dimension

Today during some strength training, we did some live measurements of muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2) and pulse index (PI) for a better detection of performance thresholds. It’s important to challenge your muscles, exhaust them but also recognize the point of necessary recovery. Our DR2 sensor systems allows for an improved and real-time performance diagnostic.

Medica 2017: Performance Diagnostics of the Future

The trade fair Medica - the world's largest trade fair for the medical sector - will take place from 13 to 16 November 2017 at the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. This year, OXY4 will again be present with a strong team. For the first time, we present our OXY DR2 and TrainOXY sensors: the non-invasive sensor technology for measuring multiple parameters such as muscular oxygen saturation (SmO2), Tissue Hemoglobin Index (THI), Pulse Strength (PI) and Pulse Rate (PR). This will redefine performance monitoring, diagnostics and analysis in sport.

Experience and convince yourself of this new technology - live at our exhibition booth.

You will find us in hall 15, stand 23 (Wearable Technologies) and at the Medica Sports Conference.

We look forward to numerous visitors and interesting discussions.

To be able to validate the algorithms of our DR1 sensor, a so-called occlusion test is particularly suitable for testing reasons since in this case chronological sequences of SmO2 and THI are known. We carried out such tests and compared the measuring results of our multiparameter sensor DR1 with results of a hyperspectral camera.
Take a look at our blog if you are interested in some figures of the test results.

We've been working intensively on the integration of the parameter Tissue Hemoglobin Index (THI) during the last few weeks.
Take a look at our blog to read about the results of the combined measurement of THI, SmO2, PI and PR during a calf stretching exercise with three different work loads.
