Garage doors and garage door openers are affected by cold winter weather in several different ways. Frigid temperatures, snow, ice and salt will all take a toll on the garage door in the winter.

A garage door tune-up is a great first step to preventing any garage door winter “down time”. Our technicians will inspect, lubricate and adjust if needed all moving parts of any brand of garage door and automatic opener system. Our inspection process includes springs, rollers, hinges, cables, pulleys and drive mechanisms. A tune-up also includes the inspection and tightening of any loose hardware. We recommend an annual tune up to stay ahead of maintenance issues. Give us a call to schedule your tune-up at... 336-345-1942

Veterans Day 11/11/2016
WHAT IS A VETERAN?

A "Veteran" - whether active duty,
discharged, retired, or reserve -
is someone who, at one point in
his/her life, wrote a blank check
made payable to "The United
States of America," for an
amount of "up to, and including
his/her life."

And for that we can never repay you
but we will always HONOR you!

THANK YOU!

Which opener system is the best choice for you and your family? There are two main types of garage door openers, the chain drives and the belt drives. The truth is, they all work fine for different types of lifestyles. It’s entirely up t...o you to decide which one best fits your particular needs.

Chain drive openers are the most commonly used. They use a metal chain to run the garage door on its track. They are the least expensive operators in the market right now however, they are also the noisiest. If your garage door is not attached to your home or it’s far enough where the noise would not disturb anyone then a chain drive would be the right choice for you. If you do mind the noise or just don’t want to hear the garage door open and close then the chain drive is probably not the right choice for you.

Belt drive openers run on a rubber belt and are as reliable as chain drives but they are virtually silent! Although they are not cheap, they happen to be the best openers in the market available. So if your garage is attached to your home and you hate noisy garage doors, this is definitely a great choice. However, belt drives do cost more than chain drives so for less noise you’ll be paying a little more. In some cases it’s totally worth it.

Bottom Line is chain drives are very noisy but less expensive. However, the expense is not a significant difference. Belt drives on the other hand are much quieter so for a little extra money you can have less noise and more peace of mind.
