Gene, they are all nice photos but # 2 is way above the rest. Just an amazing image!

I visited Bushwick, Brooklyn for the Artist Open House event on May 31st. That was the day that my Fuji X-T1 went haywire on me and reset itself every time I turned the camera off. I did, however, get some good shots. Bushwic...

Sorry Gene. It's an excellent image and stands on it's own. My bad.

Nice Gene. There's something about the last one that really works. Maybe it's the way he is sharp against everything else that's not. It creates a feeling of separateness where he's almost isolated from the world.....
I hadn't planned on hitting the streets today. Exhausted from the crowds at the Easter Parade yesterday on Fifth avenue. But the temperature was just right, I needed to run an errand on 59th street, and took a walk down Lexin...

Gene, There's an ease of viewing from the 1st 3 images that allows me to enter and explore the images. It very well could be the way you use the camera and then the 4th shot has a different feeling that almost keeps me  from getting into the image and that also could be the camera.
Maybe it's the stretch from the very wide lens on the 4th but the 14mm ain't no lightweight either.

Personally I hate the conundrum created by two different form factors of cameras.  I can only resolve it by using my 2 XP1's and dealing with lenses. You Sir have a much stronger tolerance for that SLR/RF experience that I could never even hope to deal with.
Good luck to you in this quest.

If it were my two exes, the title might have been 'Shooting my two exes. But the title refers to my two Fuji X cameras - the X-Pro1 and the X-T1. The weather on Monday was perfect for shooting. The light was soft and there wa...

Thanks Gene. I know it's cold up there in NYC but ya don't have to send it down here in Philly.  I actually don't mind the cold but the WIND. That changes things for the worse. So here today it'll hit 53f but rain for the next 3 days.

Nice photos ya found regardless......don
Too cold in NYC yesterday to have much fun on the street shooting. If this were January I'd have been OK with it, but the end of March? So I took a bus, shoot me! Leaning into the wind: Don't you have anything better to d...

Sometimes it takes a swift kick in the butt to get off the beaten path. As you stated, new possibilities present themselves and proof is in the 2 fine photos you posted.
Really nice......don
This past weekend I began walking around a different part of New York City and the wheels began to churn. I saw possibilities popping up all around me. I was buzzing with excitement as ideas began to coalesce. When I talked w...

I was drinking a cup of Kona at my desk in the back bedroom that’s converted to my office when Tanya let’s me use it. I heard a rumble going on and I wanted to see what the ruckus was about. Well, The Fuji XP1 named Andre’ was arguing with the Fuji XP1 named [...]

Nice shot Gene. It's easy to see that you work the Smart end of town where you present New York's finest.....

Actually, this is very funny. Ya know I get caught in the SOOC files but when it comes to doing adjustments to suite my vision, I need raw files.
Last Friday I took my Fuji X-T1 in to the repair facility in New Jersey to have a light-leak defect repaired. Today was the first day I had to get out and shoot with it. The fix for the problem must have required the settings...

You must be a pretty dapper looking guy. That couple up there, he's got a tight grip on her, no wonder but she has that wondering eye and it's wondering about you......
This past Monday I had the good fortune to participate in a presentation, along with two fellow photographers, at B&H Photo in New York City. I've been attending classes at their Event Space for about ten years, ever since I ...

Yessir! Cold as heck down here in Philly also. Real nice little series ya have and I give credit to you for being out there.
Later....don
Been chilly in New York the past few days. Fifth Avenue is rife with fur coats - fake and real. Here's some shots. And just because you can afford the real thing doesn't mean you'll be happy about it
