Winter in NYC is the perfect time to catch a Broadway or off-Broadway show. We understand that many of the popular shows come with a pretty hefty price tag which is why we've gathered a list of insider tips to help you score discounts! http://ow.ly/RfUG307WXFf

When snow is on the ground and the temperatures dip below 30 degrees, it's perfectly okay to stay in bed!

Loving this cozy picture by blogger @marthasuch.

Overall i would say this is a fantastic hotel. The room was incredible. The bed was incredibly comfortable and having the option to change its position was so convenient. We did have an issue with our first night staying in which the fire alarm went off on a false alarm at 2:30 in the morning and we had to evacuate the building and it was over an hour before we could go back to our hotel room. I know that these things do happen sometimes, but I did find it concerning that no staff members were anywhere to be seen, even to so much as say "sorry for the inconvenience". That issue aside, its a lovely hotel and I would certainly stay there again.

Very cute place to stay for a couples overnight or weekend in Manhattan. Dont recommend for families with kids or groups. Rooms are small (modeled like a cruise ship) but the beds are amazing so make sure you give yourself at least one late morning or early night to make it worth it. Easy walking distance from Port Authority and all of downtown tourist spots. Overall service from the bar and front desk was okay. Don't expect the servers at the restaurant to actually greet or notice you for breakfast. I had to actually walk all the way to the bar after one of the servers passed me twice while waiting to get a table. Two other couples looking to be seated about the same had to put in work before they were seated. Once at the table people were way more attentive and the food was very good.

Located just a short walk from Times Square the Yotel New York focuses on airplane cabin style rooms that maximize space to keep room rates low. The hotel design is innovative by using technology, from a robot that will store your luggage until check-in to a touch screen check-in counter. Overall the hotel has a very trendy vibe with the purple lights, modern decor choice, and ambient music in the halls. I highly recommend staying here.

This place is all about efficiency. If you want a no frills place to sleep and don't mind being cramped, this is an OK option. However, for the same money, there's a high likelihood you can find a better place to stay in NYC for equal (or less) money. Tip: if you're going to stay in a room with 2 people, I would def look elsewhere - rooms are too cramped

Very stylish and high-tech, the self check-in tellers are very easy to use and you get your keys quickly. The cabin that we had was small but perfect for us. Nice view, comfortable and very clean. The staff is also very friendly. I would definitely come back!

This is a tiny room, perfect when you're on the go and don't need to stay in your room all day long. Check in was extremely fast using self check in touch screen and by paying a little extra I was able to do early check in. I ate at the restaurant on the fourth floor once and the food was very tasty, nice presentation as well. I did use the gym and it had enough equipment to help with my workout for the day. I noticed the music being played on the elevator and the restaurant area. Very interesting and if I'm not wrong the person in charge of the music is they legendary Tom "Hitmix" Middleton, which I thought was really cool. The bed was very comfy as well. I would stay here again if I was alone, maybe with my significant other, definitely not with children.

It's a hotel experience! I've been wanting to go for years and YOTEL met my built up expectations of a futuristic Japanese style hotel. The first thing you notice is the robot luggage storage (which I didn't get to try) and the lack of reception desk. I loved just getting my card from a machine and going up to the elevator. I was surprised by a hopping lounge on 4 that you pass through to go up to your room. I'll have to check it out next time, but I got in late. Once you reach your "cabin" (as the room is called) you're welcomed into a futuristic hotel experience. The small room, bathed in purple light, has a small motorized bed, and is surrounded by very deliberate and functional furniture. What grabbed my attention was the wall-sized window overlooking New York right off the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower wall is next to the bed. There is a curtain you can pull to close off the bathroom and the glass doors keep everything separated. Great shower with heated towel rack! The only thing I didn't like was some chipped paint around the bed, and the motorized mattress wasn't as comfortable as a normal bed. Still all in all I really enjoyed my "hotel experience!"

Great downtown location. Love that checking in was all automated, no line ups. Room was small but we'll maintained and super water pressure. Would definitely come again.
