So maybe I'm thinking of a different game? Some one posted a history of Need for Speed saying it started in 1994 (and according to wikipedia it was a console game though it does mention PC, but I had a Mac). I remember playing a Need for Speed (and I think II) but I was pretty sure it was before I went to college (maybe I'm wrong here) and it was on my Mac (I know I'm not wrong that I had a racing game on my mac and I'm 99% sure it was NFS).

Anyways, the game I remember was black and white (which it may have been different on non macs, I only had a black and white mac at the time) and you raced and you could get followed and pulled over by cops and if you got stopped three times you instantly lost (and I think if you crashed three times you lost or it may have been if you crashed you lost). Now that I think of it, I'm absolutely sure I had that game before college. Cause my first year at college I finally got my first color computer and this game was most definitely black and white.

Apparently. That was Test Drive II for that matter. I didn't realize it was an older game than Need for Speed. It was one of my favorite games on the Mac (not that I got much selection ;) ).

The longer I have my Vita, the more I just don't understand how people could not like this system (it's really becoming my favorite gaming system above all my consoles). Vita games, PSP games, and PSX games. On top of that, being able to customize the controls to make the controls better than the original (being able to use the thumbstick on FFVII or using the second stick for the camera on Monster Hunter <- I'm not even sure how people could stand playing it on the PSP honestly with having to use the direction pad for the camera when you have to take your hand off the movement stick to move the camera around).

I think it fulfills my dream of a portable PSX system (it gets most of the really good PSX games that I remember but it's missing Bushido Blade. Ehrghiez would be nice too).

It has definitely become my favorite handheld of all time (beating the Game Gear). Not that I've had many to be fair (Game Gear, Game Boy color <- for pokemon which is a good game to be honest, Sega Nomad <- sucky one and just wasn't a good idea, not hard to see why that one failed, PS Vita).

It's too bad Sony kinda killed it by pricing it too high (and by the time they lowered the price it already got a strong reputation of "no games") and also not advertising it over here in the US at least (I met a PS fanboy who had no clue it even existed... that is complete marketing failure right there). At least it is still getting games despite it kinda flailing (not as many of the type of games that would really hit its potential but still some fun stuff. Can't wait for Borderlands 2 and for Dragon Fin Soup. I even am interested in Minecraft, and I wasn't even interested in Minecraft for any other system).

For a couple of years, I was a bit sad about buying a Vita instead instead of a 3ds. Got the 2ds a few months ago. Now, I wouldn't trade my Vita for anything! It's awesome.

For the old school Fallout fans (you know, Fallout 1 and 2 and Tactics), here is my dilemma. I'd like to play Fallout 2. I keep thinking I should finish Fallout 1 first. For whatever reason I don't think I ever will (I always start it but for various reasons never finish. My latest reason is that my save game didn't transfer when I upgraded computers and I don't want to go through all that again). Anyways, I do want to finish 1 eventually, but would it be really bad to play 2 before I play/finish 1? I want to actually get to playing that one cause I hear so much about it.

Suck Suck suck. Facebook bought Oculus Rift (I want VR to take off, and I really don't think I like the direction Facebook is taking gaming). I would have rather Microsoft, Google, Apple, even EA have bought it (though of those four EA would have been my last choice, followed by either MS or Apple, not sure which. Google would have been interesting or Amazon if some one had to purchase OR).

Not that I need more Vita games, I already got a backlog, but just curious, is the Batman game for the Vita any good (not the one that is a fighting game)? For some reason it caught my interest today looking around Gamestop (don't know why, I've been closed minded to any games based on movies/IPs from other mediums. Can't even tell you why, but I just for whatever reason normally don't want to play as a character from some other medium, may even be just played too many games like that that just coasted on the name of the IP. But I keep hearing the batman games of late are pretty good).

This was asked on reddit's fallout subreddit and I think it's a great/fun question. What was the worst mistake you made in Fallout?

I may have made worse, but here is the one I remember off the top of my head. I played Fallout: New Vegas after playing Fallout 3. I saw some death claws at around level 10. I figured they would be easy (in 3 as long as I got a good headshot in they died real quick). Yeah, I learned the hard way why Deathclaws are considered scary (They really aren't in 3, even without the dart gun).

I really really want to like the free Monster Hunter that came with PS+ this month. It seems to have so much potential to be an addictive game. Except their camera system SUCKS and it makes fighting anything that fights back frustrating. This game really needs to be made for the Vita where you have two thumbsticks and you can use one for the camera (and then use the shoulder button for attack so when you are fighting you don't have to take your hands off move, camera angle, or attack).

I have a hard time dodging anything or at least moving so I'm at a better chance of dodging or attacking cause the monster goes out of camera view, and when I finally get it back in, it's attacking me and too late to dodge (and I can't move while I am moving the camera cause I have to take my hand off the thumbstick you use to move with. Even if they used the opposite thumb stick that would be great but once again, cause it was made for the PSP, that's not an option). And not dodging is not an option cause the way the game is played you don't have a chance to heal in the middle of a battle. So if you can't dodge and not get hurt, you're pretty screwed.

I'm not sure how I would have fixed it for PSP controls... maybe have a better automatic camera that at least follows where your character is looking?

Ah, ok... yeah, I have no IRL friends with Vita so that's not an option. Anyways, thanks for the tip. Now that I got the camera remapped to the other stick fighting feels a lot more fair (and yet I still suck but the I lasted quite a while with the boss monster and the non bosses didn't touch me... I had the boss running but then got too impatient and careless and he managed to finally whittle me down). My problem was that if I feel the monster is close to death I tend to start doing all out attacks and not being near as cautious. That bit me in the butt (but see, I like it when I can tell what I'm doing wrong vs. it feeling like it's bad controls that is getting me).

Ys: Memories of Celcetta (sp?) is the kind of game that has me playing it and not wanting to put it down. It's also the kind of game where if you don't watch it time goes by like that. I highly recommend it.

Damnit, Witcher 3 has been delayed til February 2015. That was going to be my justification for the PS4. And one of only 2 day one buys for me this year (other being borderlands 2 for Vita). I'm poor so usually I try to wait for the price to go down, specially with having a backlog anyways (PS+ is good for that). And I refuse to give money to EA so Dragon Age is out as a bandage for not getting Witcher 3 (and it seems no good rpgs out this year for next gen, hrmph). It's the only game that has me wishing I didn't refuse to give money to EA.

Plus it means it sounds like there is going to be a lot of good games in 2015 which is going to be hard on my budget (I'm a huge RPG fan and it looks to have some decent ones in 2015, Bound By Flame also looks interesting and I am hoping that we get Fallout 4 then too which is most definitely a day one buy unless I simply don't have the money at all).

Well, I guess it's good I have PS+ cause I might even work through my backlog. And, well, I'm trusting that Witcher 3 is going to be awesome (it sounds like it will be and I just have a good impression that the developer is pretty good at delivering. I really like Projekt Red and it doesn't hurt they also are behind Good Old Games, a service I much prefer to Steam as they are anti-DRM and you truly do own the game when you buy from them, too bad they only do old games though).

+Ali Amir Heh, you have more patience than me. I'm already annoyed Fallout hasn't been announced and honestly, I just discovered Fallout 3 and Vegas a year ago so it's not like I've been like some Fallout Fans and waiting since 2010. And I'm still acting like most Fallout fans at this point (any mention of Bethesda for any reason and some Fallout fan is bound to ask where is Fallout. And sometimes that fan is me). I was originally hoping for this year. Now my hope is for next year but first we have to hear Bethesda announce it (I hear it usually takes a year after they announce it for it to come out, and that time period is getting longer and longer between announcing and game coming out).
