Had a great time at the Shedd! Went on one of the Illinois Resident Days but definitely had to upgrade and pay for a ticket to see the good stuff. The aquatic show was great! Absolutley loved the sea lion, he stole the show! I also really like the Polar Play Zone, which may be for kids but it was a great under water viewing of my favorite animals and I touched a star fish. The sting ray exhibit was really cool. I really enjoyed touching them, so cool! We also saw the 4-D sea monsters movie which was fun. The rest of the exhibits were nice but not extraordinary.

The aquarium is really well organized. It was easy to move from place to place and to make sure we saw everything. It took us about 2.5 hours to see it all. That includes the 4-D movie, which I highly recommend. It is included with City Pass admission. I enjoyed all the reptiles and frogs they had.

First of all there were no signs leading to the parking lot we were forced to find it ourselves. As we go into the parking lot it was filled with drunks and we were forced to walk over a mile to get to the aquarium. As we walked to go into the line I tripped on the sidewalk because of the cheaply paved sidewalks that lead into the long line. We were waiting in line for at least one hour in the hot sun and began to get heat stroke because of the long amount of time we were forced to wait. Unless you pay 50 some dollars you are forced wait in the heat which is kind of abuse to paying customers. Another way of avoiding the line is buying tickets online which are 50 some dollars and not worth it because it is 20 dollars more than if you wait in line. We're looking at animals not dinosaurs and you could see dinosaurs cheaper at the field museum. Then when we finally reached the door we waited another 30 minutes to get over priced tickets. It is the most expensive type of public museum type area in all of Chicago. If you compare their price to field museum it's twice as much to go to the aquarium per ticket. When we get in we pay for over priced tickets and not to mention the terrible parking price. We were told we bought tickets to go to pet the stingrays and when we got there this women who worked there said we couldn't go in. The prissy women there did not give us an explanation why but you would think that after paying a hundred some dollars to get in that you could at least get some nice service. After a while we finally figured it out and got to pet the stingrays and paid another 20 dollars. As my group began to walk home my son's feet began to bleed because of the long walk. I'm never going there again. It was a ripp off.

Aquarium was alright, beside the belgula wale I don't see it any different than any other big city aquarium. I wasn't pleased with their customer service, or employees. We had a city pass which was suppose to get us in faster than the normal lines. The staff wasn't pleasant to work with, we stood in line for 15 minutes when there was only 2 groups in front of us. They didn't watch their lines or the front desk as there were several groups that cut in line. We would of made it through quicker in the normal line instead of the line of will call we were in. Plus one of the receptionists, was very rude, when I went up because it was our turn, she told me go back in line. I've worked customer service and the customers always comes first, and when you have customers in line you help them. Though there were a few of the staff that was friendly, but because of the bad experience we had checking in, it felt like our experience wasn't the best.

Really, really nice. I loved the animal shows as it was less fancy than SeaWorld but seems less strenuous on them. The aquarium is a good size and has a lot for all ages. My kids enjoyed the 3D short movie. This is a great place to visit. I will visit again.

I love the Shedd Aquarium on of my favorite places in Chicago to go to, especially with the children. They have so much stuff to discover here. I recommend that anyone who goes must experience the 4-D movie because it is sooooo much fun. I have also went to Jazzin' at the Shedd which is really fun especially on the nights when they have the fireworks at Navy Pier because you can sit out on the patio by the water and watch it is absolutely beautiful
