Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is using Senate procedures to prevent Republicans from adding amendments to repeal gun control to the Sportsmen Bipartisan Act. He said he had no other choice but to completely block amendments because he had "been unable to reach an agreement" with Republicans on a "reasonable list" of them.

The current tally is $1.5 million and counting. That's the taxpayer’s burden of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s and the City of Chicago’s refusal to recognize Second Amendment rights.
Established in 1975, the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the 'lobbying' arm of the National Rifle Association of America. ILA is committed to preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. A Justice Department program designed to cut down on loan fraud could instead wind up threatening legitimate businesses, warned Rep. Darrell Issa during a speech at the Cato Institute. Operation Choke Point is supposed to prevent banks from handing out risky loans and lines of credit to untrustworthy businesses, but federal regulators don’t seem to be targeting based on wrongdoing so much as they are taking aim at business sectors they just don’t like.
