The best overall consistent, best value, best tasting, and best service upscale (not fine) dining option in Chicago. Simple nouvelle Californian-French-Japanese fusion comfort food! Never misses to please.

Amazing Japanese/French cuisine that made for a special date with my girlfriend. We had excellent service and dessert that was to die for. The head chef 'yoshi' gots mad skill. YOU MUST GO HERE!

Yoshi's cafe is an interesting fusion of French/Asain and they execute it well. I went there on a Friday night at 9 and we still were sat immediately. We started with the Tartare which was amazing. I had the Steak, topped with Arugala, Truffle Oil, and Chocolate covered baon. The combination was very interesting and surprising tasted good together. My steak, literally, cut like butter. My friend had the Cheeseburger which tasted amazing. The fries that we shared also were great.

AMAZING meal & equally great service! Unpretentious, but warm, & inviting, in all ways a top shelf experience. The menu is inventive, we'll thought out, fresh, and classy. We ordered the tuna tartar (from specials menu), lobster bisque, gazpacho soup (special), & jumbo sea scallops (special) . The lobster bisque is unlike anything I have ever had before. Tuna tartar was the best ever. Honestly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have ever had top to bottom. Please go! You won't be disappointed.
