My favorite place to eat in Toronto, and yes it is a bit expensive, but almost everything is local and the quality is just great. And any deseart with chocolate here is a must try.

There was a group of 5 of us that went to EPIC for dinner and the service was awful both on delivery and quality. When we first arrived they didn’t have any space so we sat in the lounge, 5 people around a cocktail table. Good times. It was “EPIC” slow, we waited more than an hour to get our entrees, it was as if they were killing the cow in the back or they forgot about us and when they did arrive one of the Salmon dishes we ordered was raw (and we didn’t order sushi), it doesn’t take an hour to cook salmon, how you present barely cooked food to customers is astonishing, it goes to show they just didn’t care. The menu wasn’t great either, I was struggling to find something I like. Everything is pricey, as the quality didn’t equate to the high end price of the food. We only ate at the hotel because our group didn’t want to go out in the cold. Bottom line if the weather is nice, there are way better options just a short walk away.

Went there on the anniversary day with my boyfriend. We bought the groupon for a six course meal for two for about half price of the menu. I found the restaurant fascinating. The food is really good. We ordered the seafood chowder. The portion of the soup is much more than I expected. So I was already full after the bowl of chowder. For appetizer, we have the scallop. The scallop is tasty and large. Then I had surf and turf, while my boyfriend had the steak. The waiter was really patient and he explained everything well about the menu. The surrounding is also nice. Well-decorated. Definitely would go back again. But still, it's pretty pricey without a groupon. (On the other hand, without groupon we might not order that much.)

I had lunch at Epic with some colleagues and like always, the service here is still one of the best I've been to. Food was great and I have never been disappointed :) I ordered: *Thunder & Romaine Caesar Salad - $16* _Creamy Caesar Dressing, Thunder Oak Gouda, Lardons, Whole Wheat Crostini_ This is one of the best salad I've had. The Caesar dressing was just right and not over powering. What I love about the salad is the lardons (pork belly bacon pieces) which were so crisp and crunchy. *Tagliatelle & Lobster - $31* _Tagliatelle Pasta, Nova Scotian Lobster, Caramelized Onions, Spinach, Capers, Aurora Sauce_ Pasta was delicious, the Tagliatelle Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was nice with the tomato sauce being not over powering. I expected more of the lobster considering the entree is $31 but overall, the dish was good. *Foraged Canadian Wild Ginger crème BrÛléE - $12* _Candied Lemon, Sugar Biscuit_ I'm not sure if the candied lemon made the creme brulee extra sweet or the ginger was sugar caramelized but I found that creme brulee was way too sweet. I like that there are tons of fruits that accompanied the dessert.

Food here is really good. They sometimes have Groupon deals so check it out on a budget!

Epic does not disappoint me to host a special reunion gathering with my expatriate cousin. We were seated in a quite secluded area near to the open kitchen but we felt very private. My guests were very impressed with the quality of the food and intricate presentation. The grilled romaine and asparagus salad was the most tasty salad I could remember, perfectly tossed. Of course the Royal York seafood chowder was living up to its reputation. The duo of lamb which consisted lamb rack and shoulder were tasty and cooked right. Most of all, they remembered to bring a lovely designed birthday plate for my nephew as I requested on the reservation note. I will certainly return for the reliable service and delicious locally-sourced cuisine.

Good food but certainly not epic and a bit over priced. Avoid the appalling fondant potato which was burned, cold, tasteless and too thin. It ruined a lovely main.

Went for a breakfast meeting. Staff was what your would expect of a high end establishment. Food was quite good and price was not to high.
