I am using my mothers gmail account to review this. This hotel say was by far on the top of my do not recommend list. My family and I stayed there last week for 4 nights in one of their suites. Room 902 to be exact. On first sight the place looked fairly neat and clean. I was wrong. The windows had so much oil and dirt on them my husband washed them himself. The maintenance man had an attitude with my husband because the refrigerator would not cool and did not want to give us another one to use. I only saw house keeping wipe the bathroom counter, never seen the tub washed. She swept some what behind the bar on to the carpet, leaving crumbs on the floor. Then only vacuumed the spot where she put the crumbs. Then had the nerve to talk to my husband everyday about giving her a cash tip.The best part is we caught head lice from the room. When I called to talk to the person in charge, she called me a liar. They gave me $100 of my nearly $1500 back and asked me to reconsider coming back."At the best possible price." It cost me almost that just for the lice shampoo not to mention missing work, fumigating my house and rewashing everything. "EXTREMELY UNHAPPY."

We checked in early Friday morning, left Sunday. For the brief stay we had, I don't have too many complaints. Room was nice. Not 5 star by any means, but since we were only using the room to sleep and shower it was perfect. Cleanliness is the first thing I judge in a hotel and I had no complaints in that department for this room. Wish the balcony had sliding doors like most hotels. It was a big bulky security door. No way to prop it open, we improvised. Would have been nice if it was a sliding door! We stayed on the 5th floor, same floor as the pool. When we got off the elevator we were met with this horrible odor. Luckily it did not follow us to the room. My husband thinks it was the pool chemicals. We parked on the 3rd floor of the garage and accessed the hotel there. Where we stood to wait for the elevator smelled like an ashtray. Disgusting. Glad we weren't staying on that floor! Staff were nice. We did not try the breakfast they provided, but it did smell good as we passed through the lobby. Did notice a sign at the front desk that they were going to be renovating, that is definitely needed for the lobby area! We may stay here again, if we ever visit Virginia beach again.

The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The hot breakfast was good and the eating area is spacious. The location of the hotel is great...near the pier and other attractions. I would stay here again.

Our experience at the Surfside Oceanfront Inn & Suites was fantastic. The rooms were clean and quiet. The view was excellent of the Atlantic Ocean. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The service was top notch. After checking in the front called to ensure that the room was what we expected. Would recommend this to anyone traveling to Virginia Beach.

Love Love Loveeeee this hotel. I decided to book this hotel for my anniversary weekend, which is this weekend. Staff was wonderful. Room was clean. Awesome oceanfront view in all of the rooms. My double queen size room looked exactly like the photo on the website. Surfside has a wonderful free continental hot breakfast too. Their continental breakfast included juice, coffee, milk, water, bacon, sausage, biscuits, eggs, hashbrowns, waffles, cereal, fruit, bagels, donuts, and toast. I love this place. I don't wanna leave. Thank you surfside for everything. To know I got my money's worth is greatly appreciated. I def will be stayin here again :)

The hotel is a GREAT location on the beach. You literally walk out of the back of the hotel and are on the boardwalk. There is also a little store right underneath which is nice if you want to grab a couple of drinks or snacks for the room. There is also a restaurant right there too, although we did not eat there. The lobby was under renovation when we were there so I'm sure it will be impressive once it is complete. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast; we got there 30 minutes before it was supposed to end and they were out of some things and had no intention on refilling.

It was great, staff was great, service was great!!!! Hotel clean and pool was awesome since it had some glass ceiling and a deck right off of it. However, I was told new ownership was coming and free breakfast was soon gone so wont be staying there again. Hope they read this and the new company see that the free breakfast sells when you are a group of wrestlers. We had originally planned to get all 50 rooms there next year will we found this out.
