We were here for a friend's birthday, and stayed in the Silversmith's Cottage. The couple running the place are just wonderful, caring people. The cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning are worth the trip alone! It is a lovely place to truly get away from the real world for a weekend. We will definitely be back. After all, what better place to retreat from the pressures of modern life than behind the walls of a castle?

Fun experience, needed getaway! We stayed in one of the cabins which gave us much more privacy than a hotel, but were close enough to the castle to not feel separate from the group we were with. Lovely place, super friendly staff, and great food. Highly recommended.

Stayed there in 1998 for my 25th Wedding Anniversary. I have fond memories of our stay there. Loved our room and little balcony. Was delighted to see the faux drawbridge at the entry and the common room with candelabra on the piano. Felt like royalty as we were the only ones staying except for maybe one or two other couples. We ate dinner in a lovely historic downtown hotel with soft lighting from antique lights in the walls. I was a little surprised to see the unkempt grounds surrounding though and thought maybe the place was still new and not yet landscaped. The photos on this page look a little sad. My memories of the place are much more charming. Hope it hasn't gone downhill.

My wife and I have rented out Ravenwood twice for a massive birthday party for myself, and every aspect of the experience has been great. The communication has been excellent both on and off site, the staff extremely friendly and responsive, the accommodations as described and well-maintained, and the food wonderful. Although it's couple states away from me, I I look forward to making it back there on a regular basis, both for a couples getaway and for big get-togethers. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were on a quiet, low-key Valentines Weekend getaway. We were thrilled with so many things during our stay. We loved our cottage: The Clocktower with wooden floors, ceilings and trim, comfortable bed, well laid out bath, sconce lights, mirrors, stained glass windows all were a delight. At the castle, we enjoyed our breakfast, the decor, the Saturday evening dinner and Renaissance fair music were great. Everything was so well done - and to top it off, we greatly appreciated the hospitality of all of the staff. It would only be better if the stay were during late spring through early fall and we could enjoy a little more greenery. We will be back.

My wife and I have been here several times over the years, through 3 different owners. Every time it has been a great experience. The staff are stellar, and the castle itself is amazing and well furnished. A great place to get away!
