Stone Hearth & Surround: With your fireplace being the focal point this Winter, it's the perfect time to spruce up an existing fireplace with a new hearth and surround. This surround and hearth used to be brick. We removed the brick and installed stone of the owner's choosing. Soon it will receive wood trim and a new mantel. Let us know if we can help you this Winter.

Brick Paving Repair: The mortar joints in this brick paving had been worn out from weather and foot traffic. We ground out the joints and replaced them with new mortar. We also added a grapevine tooling to the joints to match the joints on the restaurant. Stop by Timberwood Grill to see the work and grab some lunch/dinner while you're there.

Chimney Re-pointing: The picture on the left shows a chimney in downtown Charlottesville that was coming apart and in need of a new cap. We ground out the mortar joints then replaced them. After that was complete, we replaced the cap on top. The picture on the right shows the finished product and now this chimney is ready for many more years of service.

Chimney Cap Repair: This chimney cap had deteriorated to the point in which it was allowing water to penetrate the chimney which caused further chimney deterioration and allowed water into the home. We were able to repair the mortar joints, replace the cap and install a black aluminum chimney shelter to prevent water and pests from entering the chimney. Let us know if we can help you this chimney season.

Stone Chimney:  This is one of the larger fireplace/chimneys we have installed.  The fireplace is 5-feet wide and the chimney itself is 11-feet wide.  The stone is Eagle Ridge while the custom mantel and hearth are Oak Run Sandstone.  Another picture will follow once the TV is installed and the room is finished.

Fireplace improvement: A customer had an existing gas fireplace and they wished to enhance its appearance. Along with TEAL Construction, we were able to install a new limestone mantel and hearth as well as add MasterCut Hearthstead stone veneer.

Stone Surround: On this project we installed blue ridge thin stone over an existing fireplace. Per the owner's design, the corners of the hearth and returns to the wall were comprised of the same stone as well which really places an emphasis on the new slate hearth.
