I'm taking part in a collaborative Instafreebie book promotion with 11 other authors this weekend. The idea is that readers are able to download any of the 12 books they like the look of in exchange for signing up to the author's newsletter. If you know of someone who loves ebooks and might be interested, I'd really appreciate it if you would share this information. Just to let you know, I made the video in this post using Adobe Spark. I recommend this site because it's totally free and very easy to use. The video clip came from clipcanvas.com - another great site I have just discovered. Finally, covervault.com is a great place to make 3-d book cover images and phone templates - there are video tutorials on how to do this. (The FB ads in this video were created by Jessica Bell.) Using these three sites, it's possible to create some powerful marketing videos or presentation slides. PS: These books have also gone down well with men! http://jane-davis.co.uk/2017/02/23/special-offer-free-reads-smart-women/

Today, I'm over on Lambert Nagle's blog talking about the inspiration for my latest release, My Counterfeit Self. Lambert Nagle is actually a writing duo made up of Alison Ripley-Cubitt and Sean Cubitt and I'm fascinated by what Alison has added to my research. Co-incidentally, the Jim Marshall documentary I mention is being repeated tonight on BBC4 at the time all good documentaries are shown - midnight! (Play it Loud: the Story of the Marshall Amp). Do watch. http://www.lambertnagle.com/author-interview-with-jane-davis/

Thanks to Peri Hoskins for being my first guest of 2017 on Virtual Book Club. ‘If there’s any writer Hoskins reminds me of it would be John Steinbeck. But instead of North California and the Salinas Valley, we get to explore Australia and New Zealand.' (Readers' Favorite) All without leaving your armchair!

Jane Davis always found that she was a square peg in a round hole. The quiet noise-hating middle child in a family of five. The creative person in the business world. And then she discovered writing.
