I stayed in a normal sized room with my family. It's a pretty good deal for it's price. My bathroom fan didn't work and that was a big downside. It looks pretty good though. There is a real swanky elevator that has an out side view and the restaurant and pool was conveniently located on the 5th floor. Pretty good location near the beach too.

Great Affordable Hotel Close to Everything

We stayed two nights. Room was very quiet. Hotel seemed very clean. Bathroom could have used some renovation, but everything worked. Bed was AMAZING... Sealy World Class mattress, the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Wish I could have taken it home. Great value and very close to the beach. We didn't actually eat in the hotel, but at Denny's right next door, which was very convenient. I'd stay there again.

I stayed at the Miramar during the power outage of December 2008. The hotel was completely unprepared though power outages are not uncommon on oahu. No one phoned my room to tell me what was going on. No updates anywhere in the hotel. Complete blackout and no flashlights. The next day a very snobby young woman was working at the desk. Nor did I get any compensation as I know others did at various hotels. I'd stay away as there's so many other options in Waikiki.

It is a dated hotel, but conveniently located by everything. We use hotels like a base of operations, we come and go when in the area so this was ideal. We never used the pool, and the elevator was a bit scary dated. We noted that to book tours in the lobby was very time consuming, 1 person worked there and its not a fast process, we ended up doing most of our booking across the street. Rooms were clean and well looked after. I was not expecting WOW for this hotel, but we got pleasantly good. I would stay there again.

I wasn’t that impressed with this Hotel(2.5 out of 5 Stars). It looks great from the outside but the rooms are old and require updating. The shower water temperature changes from cold to burning hot without notice and my wife fell out of the showers hurting her back trying to not to be burned by the water change. I reported it and got the general, I’m sorry we’ll look into it. There is no WIFI in the rooms but cable connection is available. The Hotel pool bar is not the hotel pool bar but a private bar that if you go there for a smoke (if you smoke) all you get is dirty looks from the bar staff because you didn’t buy anything at the bar. I requested a queen bed and ended up with two doubles. I wouldn’t stay there again on my next trip to Hawaii. Location was great, that'sabout the only thing that was really good

Ok hotel for the cost, but the roaches and ants every time you left a coffee cup out for 2 minutes was really gross.
