How can I find the songs that have the words on the video, as you do in Lion Hunt? I teach struggling readers, and this would be perfect stuff--if the words are there. Can I buy the video + song? Do you have others with lyrics visible? Thanks! Great stuff!!!!

I am SICK TO DEATH of Google using my past browsing history to send me results. I need more info, not the same info. I repeatedly delete history. I believe I've turned it off, then there Google is again, popping up stuff I don't want, just because I've been there. Meaning it's back ON. Is there any way to get rid of this crap, or should I abandon Google altogether. Bing? Yahoo? Or a search engine I'm not yet familiar with it? Seriously. I've had it. I am starting to HATE Google, though I like Circles, I like to read here and post here sometimes. But I want them out of my research on my students' reading problems, and OUT of my shopping life.

I seriously need advice! HELP?

Thank you all for your help! Karen, I finally found the "turn-off" key just a day before you posted this. So thanks, as I could well still be searching! I will try DuckDuckGo instantly. I have found that I'm getting more results then I did on Google on Bing, but I'm not crazy about it. I hope the Duckie will quack my song. Thanks again, guys. :D

KIPP schools scare me. The structure, the chanting, the whole ball o' wax. Charter schools (KIPP in particular) are NOT all they're cracked up to be. Some of course are good.

I know Mayor Bloomberg stopped restaurants from giving away their food to the homeless because of concerns about SALT. But this is' effin' EVIL. (Gotta watch that dangerous salt in food when you're starving...)

If only workplaces would lighten up, this would be ideal! My students LOVED having my dog in the classroom, and thrived on the days I brought her. Not a bad idea for education either.

My friend +Margie Clayman and I would like to see the use of the word "midget" abandoned. This post helped me understand why. Excellent.

Perfect for teachers, and for homeschoolers. And, truthfully, for bosses!

Story

I help kids who can't read to succeed—online!
Introduction
I love tutoring struggling readers online—and it works! Kids with reading problems fascinate me, and I know how to help. I was a public school teacher when I ran into health issues that keep me home. I'm thrilled that I was savvy about life online and could develop my own teaching studio to tutor kids who can't read, or are failing in school because of reading problems.

Does your child need extra help?

As a fun sideline, I blog ridiculously at Almost 60? Really?? Why? Because I'm getting old and I want to. Topics: politics and whatever the heck else I want.

But almost all my passion goes into my teaching. It's my heart, my soul, and my life. I'm a supremely happy gal. :)
Bragging rights
I can teach almost any child to read. I love my work, and the child senses that. We work hard, and get results.
