There is one rule for making a sales forecast which I try never break and that is to make the forecast for the first month of the year. When the sales team can make the numbers in the first month, the quarter is almost guaranteed. Make the first quarter and making the half is 90% assured. Make the half and...I think you understand. More on the SLMA blog today. http://blog.salesleadmgmtassn.com/2017/03/the-golden-rule-for-achieving-forecast-make-the-first-month-of-the-year.htmltml

For 6 years the Sales Lead Management Association has recognized women in management, emphasizing marketing and sales lead management, but really all women in business. This is the 7th year for the 20 Women to Watch in Business. The applications are open on the Sales Lead Management Association site. If you admire a woman in management consider nominating her. It is good for her, good for the industry and let’s face it, considering women occupy 90% of the marketing roles, more should be recognized for their efforts in building wealth for their companies. https://www.salesleadmgmtassn.com/forms.cfm?id=70

Every year, for six years, the Sales Lead Management Association has accepted nominations and chosen 20 women to watch in business. We launched it again yesterday (Jan 19). It always amazes us here at the SLMA how few women are nominated. Considering that women dominate the marketing departments, we think there should be more participation. We have made it easier to nominate this year. There are some great winners in the last six years. http://www.salesleadmgmtassn.com/forms.cfm?id=70
